I see you mentioning that Snake > Cloud stayed the same since the round before, but Sephiroth was also there. Naturally, this failed miserably a few matches ago, as no one was really sure if Kefka would weaken Zack enough to allow Hayabusa into first place or not and therefore the only "sure-fire" way to get a -3 was to pick Kefka. OK so I'm coming back after a few days and...KEFKA?!?! His matches truly make no f****** sense. NONE. Also after this performance, he should be the favorite over Altair and Lara...but given the "Kefka Matches Make No F****** sense" Factor (KMMNFSF?), does he somehow blow it next round? What are we supposed to make of this riddle?? Also I find it hilarious that it seems lots of people who got -4's actually moved up the ranks. That had to be the match with the most -6's to date, by far. And the average score for the match is probably negative. I've send a feedback ticket to see if we can get an average points per match statistic on the Leaderboards page...doubt it will happen, but if anyone with influence can try to get that stat, it would be cool. Avatars are awesome to me for that exact reason. They are heroes, that's all that matters, everything else is on me. Hence why they are the my 2 favorite characters, they are avatars living in the world of my favorite games. How was Frog winning such a statistical upset? and Lugia destroys Lucario with ease at the very LEAST. Lucario bombing in his Contest debut will never leave my memory. . |
I'm
not buying Lugia being stronger than anybody yet, no reason to believe
it is as strong as this match shows because its competition is
apparently real trash. Are we sure that Jigglypuff wouldn't be putting the same numbers here? Smash exposure in all three games should be worth more than anything Lugia has going for it. We'll find out next match I guess. --- SuperNiceDog won the Guru contest super nicely! |

Lugia's credit, this should be the strongest version of Sly Cooper
we've seen to date. He's had several games come out since his last
match, including a collection and appearance in Playstation All-Stars.
Between that and the Sony hard-on going on lately converting to success
for other (earlier) Playstation-characters... ...Sly/Lugia still probably aren't that strong, but Frog's beatable. Cloud doesn't help either; I normally don't care much for the FF7/CT-overlap, but it's already a significant difference in strength between them and their similar age could mean more overlap as they each get older. Then again, Viewtiful Joe has a similar argument as Sly with MvsC3, and he got doubled too. Match XL: (2) Dante vs. (17) Laharl vs. (26) Raz Previous Contest Dante 2010 69.37% against Axel 49.65% against Ryu Laharl 2010 56.32% against Neku Sakuraba 32.25% against Sora Raz 2008 8.23% against Samus Aran, Nightmare and Crash Bandicoot Analysis Hey look, the Dante and Laharl rematch that we have all been waiting for. I guess when you have been in as many contests as they have you are bound to have rematches that no one cares about. With the poor reception of the new Devil May Cry game it is debated on how it will affect his strength. Technically they are different characters, but that might not stop disgruntled fans from abandoning this Dante. Not that it matters in this round, but it could make a difference in his match next round. Laharl was tripled by Dante in his 2008 match, but in 2010 he performed a bit better winning his first match and only getting doubled by Sora. I expect him to perform better against Dante and should his fans abandon him Laharl could have an excellent performance on him. It would take quite the drop for Laharl to win though. Raz performed terribly in his only contest and with nothing since then it is not hard to imagine what will happen to him. We all saw what happened to Yuri Hyuga a few matches ago and I expect a similar showing for Raz. The only question is whether or not Raz can finish above 10%. In both four-ways contests Dante has had an impressive first round percentage and it looks like he will continue that tradition. Personally I do not think his overall strength will diminish too much, but there is the possibility.
