OK well the name isn't set in stone

"Titular" would be a cool name because I don't wanna type "eponymous" whenever I have to explain what it is

someone with more authority than me should give it an official name

Eponymous Hero Factor is probably the best name. "Titular" is vaguer and something of a misused term (it typically refers to one who holds a title, e.g. a titular bishop).

Joe takes it all back. I'd rather he made some bigger gains though as a stall-fest at 100-300 votes could become difficult.

A lot of Europe is heavily favouring Jack, that'll go away in a few hours. Joe is narrowly winning the US. He should be fine.

Heavily favouring? It's an even split more or less. That said, that just suggests that Joe will take it.

I'm more impressed by the fact that Frog is doing better in most of Europe than he is in the US. His geolocation trends changed.

Is the PSN version of Chrono Trigger available in the UK? That probably would have helped CT improve its status in the UK even more than the DS version. At least the PSN version allows you to play the game on the big screen, rather than the small DS screen.

Well the only real data we have on either of these guys is that Prince of Persia once doubled Joe and Tails once got 55%. Go based on past Joe matches it looks pretty bad.

CT is also bad in Ireland as well. From what I've noticed, Ireland usually has the same tastes as the UK, although characters and games that do really bad in the UK will do slightly better in Ireland. On the opposite end of things, characters and games that are very strong in the UK will do slightly worse in Ireland.

As of right now Frog has 65% on Joe I think (I dunno if I did it right. I followed a formula posted here: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/8-gamefaqs-contests/66684669)

And here's the x-stats calculator:

Frog (2010c) VS Viewtiful Joe (2007c)

Frog has a strength of 28.00.
Viewtiful Joe has a strength of 11.58.

Frog wins with 79.32% of the vote!
A win of 48,015 with 81,876 total votes cast.

Old square has looked pretty good so far, in recent years when CT was in terminal decline the reminder of how far it had fallen was present in every match for all its characters. Would say it'll be a static or boosted showing from Frog/CT this year.

Handsome Jack is new and Viewtiful Joe has had Marvel vs. Capcom 3 since we last saw him so it's hard to say.

From 2007:

http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/2894

Joe probably got Last Place Factored there and that match was weird in general with Sub-Zero doing so well on Sonic. Joe should at least be stronger now than this match showed.

But in 2004, Joe did this:
http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/1744

And then Tails did this.
http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/1763

Going off this Joe makes Frog look ridiculous. Frog > Dante? >_>

This has been a pretty good contest for GNF.

Here are the instances so far this contest, along with their performance:

-Isaac (Binding): lost tossup match
-Alan Wake: bombed hard
-Kain: disappointed
-Tiny Tina (shared name with DLC): Contended for first where many gave her no chance
-Jak: did great until a monster rally buried him
-Sonic: performed about as expected
-Layton: Did ok all things considered
-Phoenix Wright: Unquestionably his strongest performance ever
-Chester: Inspired the stats topic to adopt the "Chester" as new lowest unit of strength
-Agent 47 (kinda counts?): not impressive
-Spyro: dominated a poll to get his first win ever
-Kirby: Did about as expected after an early scare from Terra
-Crash: Got his first contest win in 11 years
-Commander Keen: Turbofodder
-Bayonetta: Almost reached 50% in a debated match
-Ratchet: Lost somewhat respectably
-Kefka: Used the boost from the recently-released "Super Kefka 64" to solidly defeat Cloud's Clone and an 8-bit ninja.
-Viewtiful Joe: Will win second place over a supposedly stronger character
---
SC2K13 Bracket: All-in on the Ninja! Expert challenge: Dead
