LeonhartFour posted... Remember, Draven only had 20% in a match with Jak and Chie. He's going to be starting from an even bigger deficit next time, and he has to deal with the fact that a lot of these LoL guys are going to be fans of MMX and Ryu as well. ^This I'm a huge fan of LoL who plays it regularly, but I've also been a huge MMX fan ever since the beginning. Many LoL players are hardcore gamers who have played plenty of other stuff, especially classics like the MMX and Street Fighter games. Draven's a cool character in-game, but I like MMX even more, so you know who I'm voting for. |
Yuri or slime? Not sure at all. Slime's pic does stand out though. |

While Yuri will outdo some of the super-awful fodder we have, Slime is from something people have played, which gives him 2nd easily. I'm gonna put up a topic to call Riot for a bit of help as we get closer to the MMX/Ryu match and ask them to put a 'Vote for Draven here!' in their facebook and twitter (not even the client), and I feel reasonably confident that we might see a redpost or two. I've spent hours talking to some of the chief designers at RIOT before just because I threw a topic up with an @RIOT call. They are really, really closely linked to their fanbase. |

charmander6000 posted... Assuming Jak doubling Draven held true Draven got about 9.5k rallied votes, they'll have more work to do, but winning is something they are capable of doing. Teemo does scare me, but you also have to remember that L-Block is far stronger than Jak. I'd probably pick L-Block to get around 65% on Jak. The Draven rally took place in a night match, on sites like Reddit and Twitch.tv. Reddit is more European oriented than GameFAQs, so the night match really helped out Draven. Unfortunately for Teemo, he has a day match so that means less European voters than usual. many of the people who would rally vote for Draven would just as soon
anti-vote Teemo. He's kind of a pariah in the LoL community. Draven on

good as Spyro looked and as poorly Jak looked... I think I'd take
Ratchet > Jak >= Spyro, but I'm open to Spyro > Jak. Ratchet
trumps both, I'm pretty sure. Also, I missed the whole Ike/Proto Man nailbiter. Proto Man should have won! I'm sure the only reason Ike won was because of bracket-voting. Ah, well. So yeah, I know I've complained about this before, but I really think Bacon is intentionally
putting characters on backgrounds that match the characters now after
seeing this last batch. It's just happening way too often to be

Yeah,
it's hard to say who has the pic advantage between Ryu and Zack. Poor
Kefka. At least it's not Lettuce Kefka, though. Kefka will probably
still do okay. I would consider it a huge upset if Kefka pulled
through, but he might have a slight chance, especially if Zack has taken

So random talking point that maybe someone's already brought up... but now that we know people will at least vote A HORSE to some
degree am I the only one who thinks Agro would be stronger than Wander?
I mean unlike Link and Epona the horse is actually the cooler one in

Kefka
looks good there. It's just that Ryu Hayabusa is a ninja and thus
insta-photogenic, and the picsmiths really did some great work with
Zack. I'm really liking this match now - the pics are fair, so anything
can happen from Kefka rocking the poll, to Zack fodderizing Ryu H, to a
two or three-way dogfight. GET HYPE! |

I was pretty worried about Shulk getting the upset. Turns out people

Match XXXV: (4) Lara Croft vs. (15) Yuri Hyuga vs. (24) Slime Previous Contest Lara Croft – 2007 25.84% against Sora, Albert Wesker and Daxter 17.37% against Squall Leonhart, Sora and Aerith Gainsborough Yuri Hyuga – 2005 12.68% against Samus Aran Slime – N/A N/A Analysis With a new Tomb Raider game that people like Lara Croft returns to the contest a new women, though even without a jump in strength she probably wins this match. There has been some hype that she could potentially reach the third round, especially if we get a weird result next match, but I think people are hoping a bit too much. Even if Zack loses Hayabusa or even Kefka have decent strength and it would take quite the boost for Lara to catch up, but if she wants to this match will be the one to prove herself. I think Slime may impress in this match as he is not only an iconic enemy to Dragon Quest, but to gaming in general. GameFAQs may not care much for Dragon Quest, but after seeing Hero’s performance, even in a LFF match I feel Slime will have some strength. One issue for Slime is that he may get a large portion of his strength from apathy votes so place someone iconic and he may fold. Whether or not you would consider Lara Croft iconic is debatable, but I do not think she is iconic enough to suck in those apathy votes, but it is something to watch out for. Returning after his last place finish in 2005 Yuri Hyuga tries to have a better contest experience. However, with nothing new since we last saw him things could get quite ugly for him. Maybe the Shadow Hearts fans will prevent him from being the worst in this contest, but he will still be quite weak. I am almost half expecting Slime to put up some good numbers, but even as iconic as he is Dragon Quest is just not very popular on this site for whatever reason.
