There's more than just FFX. Kefka is the strongest from FF6 isn't he? Then there's FF9 as already pointed out. Then there's FF12 and there are lots of non jrpg examples as well like KotoR, all pokemon games, Bioshock, 99% of games where the player creates the main character, I'm sure I could think of more. Also it's really barely relevant how other games are anyways because Xenoblade is a lot different than most games. For one the first character you play as is Dunban. Sure it's only for 15 minutes or so but he is the first character you see and use. Two most games force you to use the main character. In Xenoblade not only can you play as any character you want but it's not even required that you keep Shulk in your party at all. Xenoblade is more of an ensemble cast than just being focused on one person. Though Shulk does get the most focus of course but it's not by a huge amount. --- If you believe that Abed is the true Messiah and you are 100% proud of it make this your signature. |
It's
nitpicking. The cases of the main character not being the strongest are
very few and far between and they almost always require extreme
circumstances, which Xenoblade does not have. You're just being annoying

Xenoblade
is a bit of an ensemble cast, but Shulk gets waaaay more screentime

was the original main, but I figured Subz and Scorpz were so clearly the
most popular that they were canonically made the main characters in

Now, we all know that Mordin won't be as strong as Garrus, but "not as strong as Garrus" isn't necessarily bad. Garrus had a really nice performance against Sub-Zero. And based on 2010 numbers (and using the assumption that FFVII is weakening to account for her outperforming expectations on Sephiroth), Garrus would be projected to beat Midna. So, yeah, there's a chance. --- RIP GrapefruitKing and Emporer_Kazbar. You will be missed. |
