I'm not so sure about that. How many of us don't take Snake to push for a tripling on Isaac one on one? He can easily secure the doubling and go for something higher than that, so if you assume he gets 20%, 65% for Snake should be a stone cold lock IMO, minimum. Hence my thinking he can do 70% with Keen taking up three votes per update.

Maybe some people would but they'd be wrong.

Can't see 1v1 going much higher than 70-30.

Portal 2 didn't even come close to winning GOTY 2011.

Wheatley looks like following Tiny Tina and Jak in winning the US and losing the match. Marth almost belonged to that club as well.

This 8% is bad, but Snake is much stronger here than in 2004 so no threat to Chester/Tanner..... yet.

Isaac should also not have a problem taking second place. Golden Sun 3 has been released since his last appearance though that was back in late 2010 and his role in that game is small compared to the first two games so I do not expect much of a boost out of him. Still with his performances against L-Block I do not expect him to get completely crushed.

Whoa-ho-ho! If Snake holds this percentage, then MGS will have looked quite good in all their outings apart from maybe Raiden's. Bodes well for Snake's chances depending on who the third entrant is against Cloud.

Not sure how much we can read into this. Isaac is fodder, but not turbofodder. Golden Sun has likely fallen off a bit too.

Why all the drama? This is pretty much the figure everyone expected from Snake, it's not impressive or poor.
For Link to not win it was always going to be about Link collapsing rather than someone else rising.

I still consider Cloud the big favorite if Pikachu sneaks his way in. I think people underestimate how much of Snake's popularity stems from Nintendo/Smash. Remember, before the enormous 2006 Brawl reveal, Snake was getting 57/43'd by Mega Man and almost dropping matches to Bowser. Snake - not Crono, Sonic, or Mega Man - was the "weakest link" of the Noble 9 who would finally drop the streak. The year after MGS3, Snake turned a 43% loss against Mega Man to a 43% loss against Mario. A decent enough improvement, but after the Brawl trailer, he turned that 43% loss to Mega Man into a 55% win. Smash is easily the biggest thing he's ever gotten in the timeframe of these contests, and that advantage will get diluted against the rat. Cloud is the perfect choice to take advantage of too much Nintendo lovin.

I'd say Charizard. There is no doubt in my mind that if he needed to, Link could turn up the heat and triple Mario.

Not sure if a Pokemon in the finals would lay down as easily.
