I
still think Luigi can squeak by Big Boss, even with Ness in there. The
votals should be higher in that match to the previous Big Boss match by
probably a good 7,000 or so. I mean the votals were so bad in that match
I have to assume the mentality was "Big Boss or no one". Because
Peacock and Viridian are no ones, and you aren't going to anti vote Big
Boss. And by the same token you aren't going to anti-vote Luigi. So the

Squall
got 35.48% on Terra in 2010, even assuming minimal SFF and Squall would

Yeah,
I think Luigi still has a good shot at that match. I would take Luigi
over Big Boss without too much thought in a 1v1 match, so it depends on
how much Ness affects things. He'll certainly cause some weird LFF stuff
to happen, but Luigi should still have enough strength to make it

Boss is closer to Luigi than Terra is to Kirby, but Luigi probably SFFs
Ness harder than Kirby does Peach, so it's still a bit in the air, I

tbqh, Poison has about as much video game exposure as Morrigan does,
and Morrigan does pretty darn well for herself with that awesome
character design. Poison has all the same advantages and the bonus

Also as for what I was saying about Mr. Game & Watch probably being dead last in that match...forget it. Unlike Marth, he's a good symbol for SSB, and thus will likely win. Why didn't I pick that? kinda messed up. LMS may have crossed the line from obliviousness to

Don't
really know. We've never seen Boss in fair 1v1 matches. He lit up
Edgeworth back when Edgeworth was probably weaker before succumbing to
Mario. Considering the weird situation he got with awful fodder and then

I said before, at least LMS is better than he used to be. He's actually
brought up a couple interesting points this contest and has mostly
stayed away from his old pitfalls of using unrelated gaming publication
lists and his personal gameplay-watching experiences to judge contest

Though I guess most of the recent posts have basically been saying "Luigi is a beast, he'll get to R3 just fine". At least Big Boss didn't get wasted for once. Unlike... ...I still don't understand how the heck Samus got wasted even though she's a complete wildcard now. Let me just look back: 2002 - Blows out Ryu/Ken, randomly upsets Sonic, randomly gets 47% on Sephiroth 2003 - Wins three matches in ho-hum fashion, SFFd by Link afterwards 2004 - Wins division, 60-40'd by Cloud 2005 - Two surprising results: blowing out Frog (more his weakness) and getting SFFd badly by Mario. 2006 - Underperforms in every non-final match due to obvious favorite status, ends up winning main bracket anyway 2007 - Holds off a short-lived scare from Mega Man, randomly defeats SFFd Sephiroth while SFFd by Link (but it was for 3rd place so no one cared) 2008 - There was some debate as to whether or not she could job to Vincent in the divisional finals but that didn't even come close to happening 2010 - Looks like a godslayer in every match but still nothing debatable No notable upsets since Sonic in 2002, no big debates about her contest path other than 2005.
