But man, we've had this scenario already, with Lucas of all people - and Kirby demolished him down to like 5% of the vote in an attempt to salvage the match. He didn't even come close to Big Boss.

I mean, I can understand picking Luigi next round if you believe he's boosted greatly or Big Boss has considerably weakened, but it just seems so... wacky. Ness isn't gonna get smoked like Lucas did.

Terra had Dissidia to boost her and Locke didn't have an LFF to help. I personally liked Locke more than Terra in FF6, but he hasn't had anything new since FF6.

Was Terra in one of the Kingdom Hearts games too? I only played 1 and 2.

Kirby and Peach have some SFF, whereas CATS and Ness didn't. Plus Ness likely had a bump from Earthbound being recently released on WiiU VC. Furthermore, Terra is arguably the main protagonist in FF6 -- a game which admittedly doesn't have a clear protagonist. Having her perform noticeably better than Locke is not entirely unreasonable.

I underplayed how badly Nintendo characters do when faced with LFF, which makes me very stupid since I had just mentioned it a few days ago. Kirby should still do quite well here with over 70% on Peach. I was worried about Big Boss next round (judging by their performances in the first round and the last couple years, it seems that Luigi would win a 1v1 without breaking a sweat), but Ness's presence should be enough to seal the deal for Boss.

This also doesn't make Sephiroth look any better. He was gifted with two Nintendo characters and still underperformed the Oracle.

Cecil winning two rounds doesn't seem like a bad risk at all. Part of me wishes I had that one right now.

Also, if Terra has kept some of dat Dissidia boost, it throws another interesting variable in Kefka/Zack/Ryu. My god if Kefka wins that, it would be incredible.

The problem with "tranny" is similar to the problem with a term like "she-male"; in the U.S. in particular it is associated with sex work, pornography, and fetishi*ation of transsexuality; it is a term associated with seeing transgender people as freaks. It is a dehumanizing term, and that's why the transgender community (generally) frowns on its use.

I didn't know this myself until a few years ago, though.

Eh, despite Little Mac being Nintendo, I wouldn't expect a lot of overlap between him and most Nintendo characters. Punch-Out is kind of its own thing.

But yeah, nobody cares about Peach confirmed. Kirby should be grateful he didn't get stuck with someone people actually care about, like Wario or Waluigi...!
