As the original joke character he was a popular meme back in the late 90s, but now I wonder how many people, especially the younger group know about him. I think it was early 2000's but that era all runs together for me too. Middle school and high school stuff. Also, is it just me or did memes last way longer when the Internet was younger? AYBABTU was around forever. Heck, even site-specific memes (like Captain Planet summoning) lasted longer than most Internet-wide memes do right now. consider Vincent the favorite if he gets there (Mewtwo is a threat to
ruin the party). I think people are underestimating the amount of
overlap between Sonic and Bowser, and they're forgetting how poorly
Nintendo performed in 4ways when its characters had to deal with SFF.

as far as Sonic goes, I think everyone's downplaying how much him
actually being in games people like again will matter. Nobody seems to
think that's worth anything, but I do. I know he's iconic and everyone
knows who Sonic is, etc. But the reason Sonic kept going down and down
was because his games kept getting progressively worse. It's hard to
stay enthusiastic about Sonic when his games are so bad, even if you
grew up as a Sonic fan. Seeing him get well-received games again will

Really too bad Samus got a predictable path when her strength this contest is a huge question mark. I thought Peacock would take this because I thought Skullgirls had a
teeny tiny, eensy-weensy fanbase, while VVVVVV had absolutely none.
Guess that was slightly wrong. Funny how the Expert Challenge has made this contest entertaining. I've had little interest in contests outside of the Oracle for the past few contests, but this one has actually been fun. Watching turbofodder vs. turbofodder is surprisingly amusing because we have usually have zero data, so things are actually unpredictable for the 2nd and 3rd slots, even if the winner is ridiculously predictable. Whereas without the Expert Challenge this would possibly be the worst contest ever. Horribly low vote totals, and every match has had the cookie cutter favorite win outside of the Spyro/Clem match - and that was only because there was no fave there. This first round would have sucked ass without the Expert Challenge to keep things amusing. Oh, and Chester. That was pretty friggin' epic! UItimaterializer posted... On
Vincent/Sonic - Sonic has to be the favorite because FF7 has looked
pretty bad (although Seph didn't look bad like everyone says, he did
almost exactly as expected on Midna). The thing there though, is that Sonic has stopped his steady decline because of new games, and association with Nintendo. But...Bowser is in that match. So if Sonic gets his Nintendo strength sapped by Bowser, and becomes "crappy Sonic" once again, does Vincent stand a chance? Sonic is the favorite but I don't think Vincent winning should be a shock. Expert Challenge is the only thing preventing Tifa and Auron's
placements from being a total waste, because at least we get to debate

match is on track to get less than 30000 votes. We're actually going
to get less than 30000 votes on a day match. We still haven't come
close to a night match getting less than 20000 votes, though. Our worst
