So tonight's match should be more interesting, right?

If Garrus is near Shepard that is. I haven't played Mass Effect, so I don't know if he's more likable or not.

It'll be interesting to see what Garrus is worth, at least. Can't see him winning though.

Well, the Boss and (I think) Raiden surpassed expectations while Vincent and Barret have laid eggs. This might maybe be sort of possible now, I suppose.

Raiden definitely did quite well based on the first 15 minutes of the poll(before the 4 chan interference)

Still too early to say, but i do think Big Boss > Sephiroth has potential.

Honestly, Garrus could win that. This is eerily reminiscent of how Scorpion tore up the bracket one year, then the next year he was put against a fan favorite from a popular series in round one and lost. Simiarly, Sub-Zero has gotten upset victories but only over characters who suffer from anti-voting, and now he's being put against a fan favorite from a popular series.

Eh, I'm not sure this performance says a lot about Otacon. Magus is stronger than Chrom or Heavy, and Otacon will be weaker than The Boss. There's plenty of room to fall in between for Magus to win.

After Phoenix Wright's performance, I'm going with Edgeworth. If he's improved as much as Phoenix did, I think Edgeworth takes it.

Nah, Edgeworth won't do as well as Phoenix, for a number of reasons.

While Phoenix looked good, I'm not sure how much it will translate to Edgeworth, his boosts were from games that Edgeworth was not present in.

Agent 47 received a new Hitman game in 2012 as well.

Edgeworth's spinoff sold really poorly and they never brought the sequel to America.

Also, he doesn't have as much internet fame or appearances in other games like Phoenix having Ultimate Marvel.

Well, it's not just that. Phoenix is the face of Ace Attorney. Even people who don't play the games know him. Remember that well over half the site is familiar with the "Objection!" meme. It might be a bit of a stretch to call Phoenix iconic, but he's more recognizable to the average gamer than Edgeworth is, by a long shot.

I was just thinking of that. But Archer should be turbofodder. The only other match we can go off of is Aeris/Rinoa/Hero, and I think we just waffled there.

Meta Knight should be able to beat Archer.

Archer is from Fate/Night? Never played it.

I think he's gonna look to be like Demi-Fiend in this field. People know who Meta Knight is from SSB. And well, Bowser is King Koopa.

Personally, if it wasn't because Bowser and Metaknight might LFF each other and that anti-nintendo votes don't have any other receiver than Archer, I could see him going below 10% but because of that, I think he'll get 15 or so.

they're both fairly popular but I feel like GameFAQs would more likely have more Archer/Fate Stay fans than Touhou fans

I know those are lol x-stats, but I just want to make the point that we don't have any hard evidence indicating that 47 would defeat Edgeworth, or vice-versa. Hell, I could see any of those three characters winning the match.
