Common Stats Topic Lingo Defined*~ SFF (Same Fanbase Factor) - Same Fanbase Factor is the theory that, if two contestants share a common fanbase, the weaker of the two options will underperform in a direct matchup. For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote. This is the best example of SFF we've ever seen. However take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make perfect sense. Extrapolated Standings - The mathematical "strength" of a contestant that's determined based on their performance relative to the rest of the field. This number is typically based on the contest entrant's loss, but adjustments are sometimes made. "Although Leon might actually have a shot this year with a Donte pick." Was this confirmed by Bacon to be a possibility? Is he considering Dante and Donte the same character? TRE posted... Pokemon Trainer in SSBB and FRLG is Red. He looks exactly the same as the Red you face in the Pokemon BW2 Champions tournament. Looks the same =/= is the same. Nowhere in SSBB does it mention or say that PT's name is Red, AND it goes as far to say that there are many of the generic Pokemon Trainers on an adventure. You're right, they look the same but it's a great injustice to the character to give him a picture from a spin-off game (that doesn't use his actual name) when he already has oh so many problems with recognition. Pokemon fans aren't just drones who will vote for anything with Pokemon in the title. I share your sentiments and hope Blue makes it in (it's why I tried to rally for him!). |

Dante and Donte are as much the same character as WW and OoT Link. Since we're not getting 2 links, we're not getting 2 Dantes. 0% chance. --- NGirl@work or on phone. |

pretty much treats the classic and alternate/rebooted version as the
same entity. DmC Dante should be fine against most of the weaker entrants, just pray that Bacon do not give him that when up against characters with respectable strength. |

From what I gather they're not the same idea. The rebooted version of Lara Croft is just her younger self, while DmC takes place in an alternate universe from its source material. I don't think the new TR is a origin/prequel, it really is a reboot, just kinda like DmC/LoS. I could be wrong though. MMX is a spinoff, it takes place in the same universe as Megaman so i could understand why Bacon would treat it as a different entity. |

how slowly he's been teasing it out so far. We probably get the 5-9
seeds today, then the 10-18 seeds tomorrow and the 19-27 seeds on
