Interesting
that Cirno made the noms. I would assume that Reimu and Marisa are the
two strongest Touhou characters. Also, I would love to see a Touhou
character get in, if only for the massive amount of difference in
strength between Japan and the rest of the world. |

think I was the only major Agent J supporter and I dropped him this
year and told my friends who nommed him for me (without asking! what
great guys) to drop him, too because NINTENDO DROPPED HIS ENTIRE FRANCHISE GOD DAMMIT REGGIE the rest of them can all stay out of the contests. haseo? really? I'm
kind of curious to see what the bracket looks like considering B8 will
have more influence over the Character Battle bracket than it's ever had
before with the overall population of the site being so low. I wonder
if Bacon will try to flip around seeds based on strength or if he'll

the bracket usually revealed after the Contest page goes up? Or will we
get another waiting period? Just wondering because I think the lack of a

Limiting the impact of the casuals in the nomination process would definitely create a drastic change in the makeup of the bracket. I
don't think we will get a drastically different bracket than usual.
SBAllen will probably adjust the bracket so it looks "normal" even if
the likes of Link and Cloud didn't get enough nominations to be #1 seeds
he would still bump them up anyway same with rallied characters like
Yuri Lowell I doubt he would give them a very high seed CjayC used to do this: For each contest, I tally up all the nominations, and place them in order, and group them pretty much in that order into #1 seeds, #2 seeds, and so on. Sometimes, I bump games/characters to a higher or lower seed, depending on mitigating factors (lower seeds for "rallied" characters that won't do as well among the general public, higher seeds for ones appearing in brand new games). From there, I toss them into the bracket fairly randomly, trying to set up what seems like the most interesting matches (i.e. separating favorites so they don't meet too early). --- ... |
I doubt Phoenix Wright will be a 1 seed if we were to close them now, even our nomination tally doesn't have him as a 1 seed. Sometimes,
I bump games/characters to a higher or lower seed, depending on
mitigating factors (lower seeds for "rallied" characters that won't do
as well among the general public, higher seeds for ones appearing in
brand new games). You know who looks really obviously adjusted? CATS. Barely getting into 4 character battles in a row with a bottom seed each time probably doesn't just happen. Especially when one of those was the male/female contest! --- [NO BARKLEY NO PEACE] |

feel CJayC and SBAllen kept CATS in from 2006-2008 for tradition. Maybe
2005 too, but that was after the villains contest which may have given
him a boost of nominations. I'm really doubtful he gets many nominations
from people outside of this board over the past few years and the ones
