surprised there's little hype for Pikmin 3. Maybe the hype is killed
by the fact it's a Wii U game and Wii U has such poor ownership right
now it's hard to be hyped about a game on a system that you don't even

Well
most of the Nintendo votes are going to Pokemon X/Y with some of it
going to Fire Emblem: Awakening since it's coming out so soon and has
been hyped for awhile now. So that leaves only a little for Animal
Crossing: New Leaf and Pikmin 3, and Pikmin was never that big here to

To
change topic for a sec, do you guys think Super Mario Galaxy (and maybe
its sequel as well) boosted in strength since the GOTD timeframe? I'd
say that it holding up well in that GOTG poll and not being SFFd too
badly by Brawl/TP like usual indicates that more people have played it
since 2010 ended. And it just all makes sense. Mario Galaxy got a price cut in 2011, and then with 2012's relative drought of major new releases it makes sense that many Wii owners who hadn't played SMG finally got around to rectifying that. Supporting this notion is that in late 2011/early 2012 on unikgamer's overall rankings, Mario Galaxy boosted from #51 to #46 - and one of the games it surged ahead of was none other than Super Smash Bros. Brawl (currently #48, and coincidentally GTAIV is #47). Also, Super Mario Galaxy 2 boosted from #57 to #50 between mid-2011 and now (and one of the games it surged ahead of? None other than Twilight Princess, which is currently #56). Crappy
vote totals today. We'll probably end up with about 31000 votes today.
Today's pack of games is pretty damn weak if a South Park game can
finish in third place here. Of course, polls about original titles have always gotten lower vote totals than polls related to sequels.
