just mean that some games are seen as all-time games and some are not.
FF10, for example, is a clear cut below FF7 while something like
Half-Life 2 is still seen as the pinnacle of the genre. some games are
just more likely to be ranked #1. I'm not sold on OOT winning #1 in such a format, for example. FF7 fans are for serious. (not that OOT fans aren't) --- xyzzy |

The format is totally different. You're voting on ten different games in a particular order, not one game vs. another game. --- "So cold. I am always by your side." "There ain't no gettin' off of this train we on!" |

our last match of "Got Console?" polls, 3DS had 43.38% ownership while
Wii U had 15.45%. That's almost 3 times more ownership for the 3DS

The
PC will be helped out by the night vote here, while the 360 collapses
with the night vote. The 360 gets most of its support from the US and
the UK. The 360 is weak outside of those countries. Even in Canada,

Last
year's System of the Year was the funniest. Skyrim was by FAR the
biggest game of the year, and it was more popular on the 360. In fact,
the PS3 version was notorious for slowdown and awful glitches, yet the
PS3 still killed the 360. GameFAQs voters are usually pretty smart, but

It's
not really a matter of "wrapping your head around it." It's more a
matter of brand loyalty. I don't think most people really take into
consideration what kind of year the console had. They just vote for

People simply blindly vote for PS3, because there are more PS3 owners on this website than Xbox 360. I mean PS3 is better for RPGs which has a strong hold on GameFAQs. --- Roughly I seed 4x more than I download. |

I'm seriously going to argue to the death on this whole "all-time games" thing, though then again that may be because I expected Resident Evil 4, Super Metroid, and both Half-Life games to fall into that category when they clearly don't - why, I don't know. I think I even expected Super Mario Galaxy to fall into that category and we all saw how well that went. Wouldn't most people be voting PC if it was about which system they had? Also I seriously doubt people vote based on which system had the best games of 2012 because PS3 had the bigger decline from last year in terms of quality and quite frankly should only be ahead of the 3ds in this poll. I think you can chalk this up to the gamefaqs crowd voting rather blindly on this one, I almost think were Wii an option, instead of WiiU, it would be winning. --- When a flag blows in the wind, is it the flag that moves? The PS3 and 360 have both dropped off, but the PS3 slightly moreso. The PC has leapt up big time, and is currently holding 2nd place over the 360. The 3DS went up slightly. The Vita is actually doing better than the PSP did, for what that's worth. This year was the first time I voted for the PC. --- We are living our lives Abound with so much information |

I am surprised the PC is doing so well , I thought gamefaqs users were the "lol PC" kind 3DS should be doing much better next year after the release of some high profile games like Pokemon X/Y and Fire Emblem Awakening --- ... |
This was the first System of the Year poll after the DS was released: http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=2255 That poll was the only time the DS ever finished above 10% in any System of the Year poll. The DS finished below 10% in all of the later polls. So it does surprise me the 3DS has gotten above 10% for 2 years in a row.
