Oh my god this is so terrible. The best (and perhaps most popular) downloadable game of the year is missing from the poll. And honestly, while I'm not sure if I'd take it over Bastion... They haven't beaten the main quest so their opinion on the main quest doesn't count. I found morrowind boring. Skyrim blows it away. Your argument for morrowind being better falls flat on its face. Early predictions on what games get into the first overall GotY poll: Best Download-Only Game - 1 game Best Mobile Game - 1 game Best Multi-Platform Game (Final) - 2 games Best System Exclusive Game - 2 games Best Portable Game - 2 games That's 8 games right there. GoTY series of polls really is a load of ass this year. Three of my top

I'm
sure Xenoblade will be included in the GotY 2012 polls, as it hasn't
been released in North America yet (the most important region on
GameFAQs). As for Catherine, no idea why that wasn't included. And

thing I can think of is that he's basing his selections on critic
reviews? Sonic Generations and Catherine were games better received by
the fans then they were on metacritic/gamerankings. So stuff better
critically received that nobody really cares about in the context of a

Skyrim
will make anything without a dedicated fanbase look bad, and I wouldn't
be surprised if we get Pokemon>Batman in the GotY poll. Not saying
it's the likely outcome. Last year HeartGold failed to beat God of War 3
with only Galaxy 2 to SFF it, and Batman should be a lot stronger than

be GotY. Only question is how many entrants get in. If it's only the
winner of each poll, then we'll get some big snubs (Batman, Portal,
Uncharted). If SB is taking two per poll, we'll have a lot more fodder
sitting under 2%. Hopefully he uses good judgment and finds a happy
medium. Uncharted and Batman deserve to make it. A Dead Space mobile
