Apart
from Portal 2 and Skyrim, the other games are so weak that they would
probably lose to Dark Souls, which was the second place game in

I'm
pretty sure Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 3, and Assassin's Creed 2 3
would beat every non-Skyrim/Portal game in here as well. To be honest, I
wonder if Batman could beat Zelda. That was a hugely impressive

Wow,
excellent showing by Skyrim. This certainly strengthens the widely
agreed upon idea that it would win GotY. The only question now is how
easily and if it can maintain this pretty scary strength in a contest.
Hell, if you want to assume that Portal 2 is anywhere near the original,
then Skyrim should trounce RE4, which would put it right up there with
the top GotD teams, if not indirectly ahead. Nothing in the GotD field
would put up 70% on the original Portal, that's for sure. I'm also waiting to find out how SB runs the rest of these polls: specifically, if we'll do a final multiplatform poll like last year (I don't think there's any need for that) or if he'll just take the top two performers from each poll. If it's the latter and we still have one more downloadable/portable poll to go, then the GotY voting will consist of ten games. The
writing was on the wall through these first polls for Portal 2. It
'impressed' by beating two games that traditionally do completely
horrible in GotY polls and Mortal Kombat. On top of that, everything it

Skyrim
winning goty would be the best result. We dont need zelda winning
everything all the time and in this case skyrim is a much better game

Epic match between UmvC3 and MK9 for 3rd place/best fighting game of the year (MK9 currently up 4 votes). The fact that Skyrim is putting something like 88% on the 3rd place here is kinda ridiculous. --- SuperNiceDog owned me in the Guru. Or do I have to stop using the word "owned" in order to not offend black people due to slavery? |

Having
played both, Skyward Sword doesn't touch Skyrim. Its just too focused
on decade old game mechanics and the lack of HD really hurts it. Its not
a bad game (probably like 8/10), but Skyrim is a 9.9/10. Only thing

Skyrim
is now at 74% on Portal 2, which is bonkers. With OoT likely in the
poll, it should at least maintain that 60%+ advantage it had on SS

Skyrim almost triples Portal 2 while Zelda couldn't double Uncharted 3.
I'd easily take Portal 2 over Uncharted 3 as well, so that final GOTY's

Honestly,
it may come close because Ocarina 3DS is a huge question mark. Skyward
Sword should do much better in the final three, but yeah, it ain't
coming close to this. Zelda's only advantage right now is that it faced

moly, this is a bad beating. I didn't expect Portal 2 to win anymore
after GLaDOS/Chell not performing like I hoped in the Rivalry Rumble,
but a tripling here? LoZ:SS looks done for, with or without

It's
clearly the strongest Western game on the site already. Portal has been
considered a potential top Western game, and now Skyrim is nearly
tripling its sequel. You've gotta rank it ahead of RE4, MGS3, and the
Kingdom Hearts, which puts it right up there with the top games from the
last two generations. Super Smash Bros. Melee Super Smash Bros. Brawl Twilight Princess Final Fantasy X Do you take it against any of these four? EDIT: MvC3 up by one vote against MK. This might actually affect things if Allen goes for a final multiplatform and takes the top 3-4 from each day.
