Wow
what a fall. Samus normally has an amazing board vote too. In every
match this contest Samus has fallen from the board vote against the
bosses and Terra she fell over 5%. I really want a trainers vs
Cloud/Seph final match just so we can watch them lose the board vote

The reason why I picked Half-Life 2 > Metroid Prime last contest Thats your own fault. If anything othem made prime stronger because people appreciated it more. Expected. Samley weak. Other M came out less than two months before GOTD, during the nomination period in fact, so it isn't hard to explain Prime and Fusion exceeding expectations there in comparison to now, especially considering how the Metroid series has received nothing since then (unless Metroid II now being on the 3DS Virtual Console counts). Its
not unimpressive. You cant pick fighters over these guys and say its
unimpressive veverything theyve done has been impressive. They wont win
and certainly wont beat mowser but theyve done wel and exceeded

This
performance seems about right considering what we've seen.
Underperforming would be doing worse than against Ryu / Ken. This result
displays their strength while indicating they will still lose to Mario /

Well good. I was asking just so I could make one comment... In this contest and the last character contest, the Pokemon series put on some amazing performances, but in GOTD, the series was a flop all around compared to expectations aside from maybe RSE breaking 40% on Mario Galaxy. the pokémon / trainers who are kicking ass appear to be RBY-related,
which was not present in the series contest. GSC looks pretty good in

Really, in my opinion, the best support for Trainers actually winning in this instance in the context of Mario v. Charizard is that Charizard's just a Pokémon. Definitely the most legitimately popular among the gaming public, very well known otherwise, and certainly likely to elicit RBY nostalgia from a large number of people who've played the games. Trainers may not have individual power like Charizard does but they represent the games a lot better and those are certainly more popular than Charizard. I don't imagine they're popular enough to take down Link without a super-charged and super-rallied voter-base, but I think they're popular enough to take down a generic Mario/Bowser coupling that can be associated with any number of games. Clouderoth
have a much better chance than trainers cmon. I think people are
downplaying clouds chances more. Mario will spank trainers everwhere its
almost certain. The only thing stopping cloud from beating link is the
monstrous us vote. If clouderith can keep the zelda duo anything below
53% in us it should be a close match. We know zelda has never beaten

destroyed Samus and her future appearances will more likely mirror her

IT depends on the Pics. If you put Super/Prime or Brawl.Melee pic then she'll be fine in Debatable matches. A game doesn't ruin a series or character. Unless we see 3-4 other M sequels all being Trash. People will not forget the masterpieces that were Super and Prime or her appearances in Smash games. IF we have a debated match 1v1 with Samus and it's an Other M picture...you can bet your ass she would lose. Pics in these sense make a big difference. IF Metroid fans see the picture of her crying or giving a thumbs Down...they aren't going to be too happy. I actually picked the bosses over Samus >_> I was really banking on rivalries mattering and went for a sort of upset bracket. Obviously that didn't turn out well(but the bosses did put up a good fight at least) --- A refusal of praise is a desire to be praised twice. |

now(GMT) against friggin Samus. As impressive as they've been, they
can't go into the Mowser match with that. They'll get destroyed. The only good match left is Clouderoth Vs Link. Ganon actually does a lot for Link or he wouldn't have tripled Mega Man. But Seph should add a bit more to Cloud. |
