Contest Stats and Discussion - Part 1033
From: red sox 777 | #150 Well, apparently not this update! --- http://img.imgcake.com/nio/51alecpngpa.png -Nio |
AUGH. Why did it have to be close. This would've been lots easier to accept if the vampires would've just won in a blowout. Whose day vote is worse? --- http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v712/ExTha/10and14.jpg "I was wrong." - SmartMuffin |
They're both pretty bad. Don't expect a lot of shifting during the day. --- "I can set you free, mate." "My freedom was forfeit long ago!" |
From: ExThaNemesis | #152 Does anybody have a worse day vote than CT? --- http://i41.tinypic.com/xq0ro.png -XIIIiscool's Advent Calendar |
From: ExThaNemesis | #152 Probably Chrono Trigger's. There's no bright spots here for Team CT. They don't have the lead early (which they needed), they'll get hurt in a few hours when the Euro vote starts getting stronger, and they'll struggle all day. The match is over. |
From: LeonhartFour | #153 Well that at least means if Frog can keep it close.... oh why even bother. --- http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v712/ExTha/10and14.jpg "I was wrong." - SmartMuffin |
http://gamefaqscontests.com/drupal/node/22?matchnum=4563&sort=percent1&type=ASC&num=2 Auto-updator is WIGGING OUT --- Black Turtle did a pretty good job. |
Well, CT will get hurt pretty badly with the Euro vote, so Alucard/Dracula will probably rise quite a bit overnight. But whatever the percentage is when we get to the day vote, it probably won't budge too much from there. --- "But you have been given freedom. Freedom to be...outside." "I am lightning...the rain transformed." |
Darn it, prediction was no good. --- 2002 Link, 2003 Cloud, 2004 Link, 2005 Link, 2006 Link, 2008 Link, 2010 Link, 2011 Cloud. Link 6, Cloud 2 |
Extha, face it, there is no way you can ever do anything of note in this contest. As soon as it decided your bracket, Frog/Magus were screwed. --- http://img.imgcake.com/alec1pngus.png |
epic 1 vote cut --- BOP Results: http://www.freewebs.com/charmander6000/Rivalry%20BOP.xls Rivalry Rumble: 73/84 Today: Freeman/Dr. Breen |
From: charmander6000 | #162 Wasn't it a one vote cut before LoZ started rolling SMB3 like a freight train (then Goose let SMB 3 cheat on the last update, cause he is not any good at his job, but the point remains). --- From: Regaro_Ukiera | MWC is god-tier |
From: 14_and_counting | #163 Nah, this just means Frog took over for an update. This is all the frog clutch can do. --- "Link has spoken for years. And music is his language" -YoBlazer |

Did he just go from 177 to 114? Lead went from 177 to 215. --- xp1337: Don't you wish there was a spell-checker that told you when you a word out? GotD (219/384) Melee v FFX |
Nope, never mind, someone did destroy, it was Alucard. --- From: Regaro_Ukiera | MWC is god-tier |
If I check correctly (and alucard wins this match) the Guru Cookie bracket is going to die at the end of this match. (finally) --- Link's is pretty much the video game equivalent of the Jesus story. -- Yoblaser |
http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=4563®ion=CA Why can't the US be more like Canada sometimes. --- Pokemon VGC2011 US Nationals - 54th place Pokemon VGC2012 NW Regional - 16th place |
From: AlecTrevelyan006 | #168 I just payed attention to the last digits. I did not think that Alucard would go up like a rocket (I though the difference was 4 on the last digit for some reason) therefore I did not see 1800 to 1600 till I checked again. God damn cheaters. --- From: Regaro_Ukiera | MWC is god-tier |
The
trends were in LOZ's favor though. LoZ was getting votes from the
people who grew up on OOT and were franchise voting, while SMB3 was
winning NES fans voting on the merits of the games. so LoZ dominated
the day vote. --- 2002 Link, 2003 Cloud, 2004 Link, 2005 Link, 2006 Link, 2008 Link, 2010 Link, 2011 Cloud. Link 6, Cloud 2 |
That's an ulti blowout up there in Canada. --- BOP Results: http://www.freewebs.com/charmander6000/Rivalry%20BOP.xls Rivalry Rumble: 73/84 Today: Freeman/Dr. Breen |
From: red sox 777 | #172 You do know a lot of us grew up on the original LOZ and voted it on its merits, right? --- Gamefaqs' #1 Testicle Bettor: Proud owner of many testes http://img688.imageshack.us/img688/6553/alec.png |
From: Team Rocket Elite | #170 You know, it's funny to see how much the Canadian geolocation trends line up with my preferences. I've never even played a CV game, which seems unheard of. --- Game of the decade? More like Guru of the decade mirite? |
From: red sox 777 | #172 Which is ironic, being that SMB3 (especially when compared to the best NES game) doesn't have the merits as a game. Not even the best game in it's own series on the NES. --- From: Regaro_Ukiera | MWC is god-tier |
From: BlAcK TuRtLe | #176 It's the same with me. It's really all about what you get brought up with. Most people I know prefer Sonic to Mario, too, and that went almost 50/50 in the UK. --- XIIIiscool (2:47 am): *gets in a car* I'M F***ING COMING FOR YOU RUSTY RustyMrMokka has left the room. |

You do know a lot of us grew up on the original LOZ and voted it on its merits, right? Certainly, but the fact remains that LOZ did so much better with the day vote for a reason. I'm not saying anything about the quality of the games myself. --- 2002 Link, 2003 Cloud, 2004 Link, 2005 Link, 2006 Link, 2008 Link, 2010 Link, 2011 Cloud. Link 6, Cloud 2 |
Hey, 15 vote cut. --- "I couldn't stand a day without a past or future. I need to live each moment to keep fighting here and now." |
From: LeonhartFour | #182 And then Magus takes over for an update. --- Sack Up Or Shut Up™ |
Darn you Magus, why couldn't we have gotten Crono vs. Frog as the rivalry. --- 2002 Link, 2003 Cloud, 2004 Link, 2005 Link, 2006 Link, 2008 Link, 2010 Link, 2011 Cloud. Link 6, Cloud 2 |

From: AlecTrevelyan006 | #160 I'll still finish on the leaderboard with the trainers I reckon. No prizes though. CURSES --- http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v712/ExTha/10and14.jpg "I was wrong." - SmartMuffin |

They just keep swapping update wins. --- "So cold. I am always by your side." "There ain't no gettin' off of this train we on!" |
Man, another one of these close but not at all close matches. |
I'm convinced vampires got it. That only leaves two more possible upsets in my mind: samus>trainers trainers>mario I'm pretty certain trainers take the first one and I'm really liking them in the second too. That might be where I finally break from the pack, but I'll wait and see how they do against Samus. Which upset do you guys think is more likely at this point? --- Inter-planetary-mega-stellar-hydro-static. There's no gravity between us. Our love is automatic. |
Definitely Trainers > Mario. Samus is getting smoked next round --- http://speeddemosarchive.com/MetroidPrime.html#PAL100 |
Aaannndd there goes my perfect bracket =( --- "I am riding the Poke-wave, using the metaphorical Surf and hopping on my Blastoise, all the way to Mario vs Bowser." - RPGLord |
*salutes* --- "Why must we always choose between certain death and probable death?" "I'm in an epic battle to the death, FIGURE IT OUT YOURSELF!" |
Vampires taking off. Could get the lead up to 8 or 900 during the night. --- KingBartz: Bracket is 73/84 with today's pick being Alucard/Dracula |
Well, all that's left now is Trainers vs. Mario and Link vs. Cloud. --- 2002 Link, 2003 Cloud, 2004 Link, 2005 Link, 2006 Link, 2008 Link, 2010 Link, 2011 Cloud. Link 6, Cloud 2 |
