Match LI: (1) Pokemon Trainer Red/Pokemon Trainer Blue vs. (3) Ryu/Ken Previous Round Pokemon Trainer Red/Pokemon Trainer Blue – 77.96% Luigi/Waluigi – 22.04% Ryu/Ken – 64.98% Fox McCloud/Wolf O’Donnell – 35.02% Analysis This is probably one of the most hyped matches of the contest as it decides whether or not Red and Blue will be able to make a late run into the contest. While Red and Blue have demonstrated that they have strength in this format so have Ryu and Ken and with all the factors Red and Blue are getting so are Ryu and Ken. I think the main issue people have with Red and Blue are their base strength. Ryu would have no problem easily winning over Red and based on last year Ken wouldn’t be too far off from winning. Of course that may not matter too much considering this contest is different and with at least their first round performance showed that they are rather strong. What truly gives Red and Blue strength is the rivalry factor. In terms of the level of boost I would have to say they have received the largest boost out of all of the competitors. This obviously gives them a massive advantage over pairs that are a terrible or have a weak rivalry, but Ryu and Ken are far from having a weak rivalry. In reality they are among the top tier in terms in rivals and while they may not be as strong in that department they are going to dampen the boost that Red and Blue have relative to the fighters. Overall there is a noticeable gap between Ryu and Ken and Red and Blue and while Red and Blue will no doubt fill the gap with rivalry factor I feel that the rivalry between Ryu and Ken will be enough to hold off the comeback. Others seem to think every picture is big advantage Pokemon. the people thinking the Trainers have a good chance at defeating the
Fighters, they are also hoping that X/Zero ended up being a little bit
weaker than we expected, allowing the MK ninjas to get close to X/Zero.
They're also hoping that the Trainers would also be able to defeat

definitely helped. First MK game at EVO, and even like Seth Killian
respects it and stuff. I saw quite a few SFIV and MvC3 vets entering to

Well,
yeah. Mortal Kombat hasn't been super well liked since the PS1/N64
launched. Well, there was Mortal Kombat Trilogy, which was neat, and MK4

Monks was fairly well received among people that bothered with it. Not

Oh I didn't even realize there were pics 3 and 4. Man pic 4 is terrible for the Fighters. Blatant sabotage attempt on that one. From: -LusterSoldier- | #1309 I see. Because I figure X/Zero would beat the Trainers, and Ryu/Ken would probably 53/47 the Ninjas and thus this is a good sign for Ryu/Ken. These pics have me concerned though. Also the trends have me trying to figure out where the Fighters would have the advantage. Power Hour will be heavily towards the Pokemon, plus they have the ASV, and if it's a close match they will have the clear rallying edge as well. Given the low vote totals, the Power Hour and rallying edges will matter quite a bit. Hope people don't call this match too early though. Based
on trends, the Trainers clearly has the Power Hour and ASV advantage.
The Fighters should obviously have the night vote. Pokemon should have a
slight advantage with the early morning vote (BSV), but I think they
will also do well in the DSV because the MK ninjas did better in the DSV
