Also, I doubt Red/Blue have developed a bandwagon yet. Bandwagons in these contests usually develop through upsets, and since 70% had Red/Blue getting this far, I don't think the whole "Pokemon bandwagons and gets stronger as the contest goes along" thing is going to hold true this time. Every other time we saw it, it was because Pokemon scored an upset or two along the way to fuel it. bracket time, Pokemon was the upset-- I agree there. Right now I don't
think either side qualifies as the upset though fighters are by far the
more interesting result to me just because fighting games never run

this performance is making the DK "rivalry" look really good. Fellow
Nintendo cohorts Mario / Bowser and Link / Ganon look incredible as
well. I guess Kirby / Meta Knight didn't get the same privilege, nor did
Luigi / Waluigi but the back half of that one speaks for itself. Guess
we'll soon find out about the Trainers. Fox / Wolf looked about as

Pokemon
does have face trends though, dominate early on to get the crowd
excited, then during the dead time the opponent has control, then when

think X / Zero beat Mega Man / Wily. Not sure about Sub-Zero / Scorp. I
think Samus / Ridley has all of them beat but it depends on her later
