A = Strongest Character
B = Character Weaker than A
C = Character Weaker than B
To figure out a character's Xsts Percentage ---> [(CvB)(BvA)]/50 = CvA
To compare how C would do against B ---> [(CvA)/(BvA)]*50 = CvB
To figure out how B would do against A ---> [(CvA)/(CvB)]*50 = BvA

~*Say What? Common Stats Topic Lingo Defined*~

SFF (Same Fanbase Factor) - Same Fanbase Factor is the theory that, if two contestants share a common fanbase, the weaker of the two options will underperform in a direct matchup. For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote. This is the best example of SFF we've ever seen. However take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make perfect sense.

Extrapolated Standings - The mathematical "strength" of a contestant that's determined based on their performance relative to the rest of the field. This number is typically based on the contest entrant's loss, but adjustments are sometimes made. See above for a watered down explanation for how the stats are calculated.

Is ASV even really a thing still? The vote decrease has come almost entirely from the site getting older; we don't have a bunch of high schoolers logging in these days.

This site has been getting older well before we started seeing decreasing vote totals, so you can't blame the increasing age of the voters as the reason for the lower vote totals.

But even with the site getting older, there's still an ASV, although it's very weak now.

Star Fox is totally abysmal there though. SF should kill the night vote one way or the other.

Over 200 indentical perfect brackets means a heavily correlated failure. Nearly half the perfect brackets disappeared just because 1 person got the match wrong. The -1s do nearly 40 percentage points better than the perfects. The perfects would have been closer to 97% right if it wasn't for the 200+ brackets going down. Other than that it was a fairly normal chart. While it was a debated match before the contest started, the casuals thought it was fairly eazy.

211 accounts fell off the Top 50 this time. Former third place Gaddswell, Iwazaruskopf, lancealots_son, Luis_Sera89, HeroicMathmagus, H-O-O-H and 205 alt entries did not have Pokemon Trainer Red vs. Blue winning the match.

Realistically at this moment I expect Ryu/Ken vs. Red/Blue to go like Ocelot/Red. Red/Blue will jump out to a big lead, Ryu/Ken will fight back to take the lead, and then the sun will rise in the US and Red/Blue will push past, except there will be an extra 12 hours to put things away.
