Match XXXI: (3) Dante/Vergil vs. (6) Sol Badguy/Ky Kiske Previous Contest Dante – 2010 69.37% against Axel 49.65% against Ryu Vergil – 2007 19.37% against Ganondorf, Thrall and Ratchet 15.86% against Ganondorf, Luigi and Mudkip Sol Badguy – N/A N/A Ky Kiske – N/A N/A Analysis It has taken Guilty Gear a long time to reach a contest, but now that they are here I don’t think people will be too surprised that they are going to get crushed in this match. Badguy and Kiske have a great case at being one of the weakest pairs of the contest. Guilty Gear has not been relevant for years and even when it was it wasn’t among the top tier fighting games that the masses loved and talked about. I think people are looking at this match for whether Dante and Vergil have the strength to defeat Sora and Riku in the next round; however I feel that this match will give us very little information. The main thing is that we have very little information on Badguy and Kiske other than the perception that they are likely to be weak. I don’t feel that any kind of massive win should convince people that Dante and Vergil are the favourite; likewise should the pair underperform to our expectations. The only poll that has included someone from the pair was the vote-ins for the 2008 contest where Sol Badguy finished second to last and managed a very embarrassing performance. One
thing I didn't really realize until now for some reason is that R2
between Dante and Sora is gonna be a real question mark no matter what
because it'll be impossible to gauge these guys via R1. Dante is going
to obliterate fodder like he always does, and Hitler makes gauging
Kingdom Hearts impossible. Even if we have a few dozen people still
perfect, I'd imagine all of them would at least briefly consider

The top group is a total hivemind now.
