Match XXX: (4) Siegfried Schtauffen/Nightmare vs. (5) Ramza Beoulve/Delita Hyral Previous Contest Siegfried Schtauffen – 2008 16.80% against Leon Kennedy, Riku and Captain MacMillan Nightmare – 2008 22.69% against Samus Aran, Crash Bandicoot and Raz 15.24% against Samus Aran, Ganondorf and Frog Ramza Beoulve – 2010 37.69% against Riku Delita Hyral – N/A N/A Analysis Before the contest began this was among one of the more talked about matches and even now it is rather talked about. Going against Final Fantasy in a debatable match with a pair not from Nintendo or a highly popular series may feel wrong to a lot of people, but I feel that the pair from Soul Calibur would be able to handle the pressure. The main argument comes from the previous performances. Nightmare has looked rather decent in his two contest appearances and while you can say that he was lucky with bracket placement to reach the second round in both contests he is not a fodder character. Ramza on the other hand stunk up the place in 2008 with his return since 2003 and while he did look a bit better in the next contest against Riku you also have to take into account that Siegfried put up similar numbers on Riku in 2008 where Kingdom Hearts looked to be stronger. Delita I feel does not bring much to the poll besides rivalry power which I feel that Siegfried and Nightmare both have their fair share. The best chance for Ramza and Delita would be to hope that Soul Calibur has fallen off the map in the three years since we last saw Siegfried and Nightmare. Soul Calibur hasn’t had a release since 2008 so it wouldn’t be a shock to see Siegfried and Nightmare take a drop of strength, especially with all of the fighting games being released between then. Still I feel that their strength won’t decay that quickly to the point Ramza defeats Nightmare rather handily. Siegfried and Nightmare will win due to their overall strength being higher than Ramza and Delita. While it is possible that an upset can happen I don’t see it happening.
