never understood why Squall gets anti-voted, because he's never won a
contest and doesn't have anywhere near the amount of strength necessary

77% was a bit unrealistic to begin with. Squall/Laharl in the X-Stats
is a 72% win for Squall. I think there's only so much RIVALRY FACTOR is
going to add when you're already at percentages this high unless you're

Seifer is pretty cool and the rivalry is great. but like i said, i guess

Although
something that can be said is that these last few matches have made the
likes of Sub/Scorp look a lot more impressive. I'd take Leon/Ada over
Lloyd/Kratos and Laharl/Mid-Boss without a second thought, and now it's
pretty clear that simply being a rivalry alone won't be enough to get

Laharl
has stayed relevant with all the new Disgaea releases (Disgaea 4 just
came out in September), and re-releases on handheld systems. Vyse has

But Vyse struggled to beat Rayman and got more than doubled by Nightmare in 2007. Didn't even make the contest in 2008. Got torched in the vote-ins in 2010. Predicting Round 2 percentages should be interesting. I expect a lot of underperformance by previous blowouters. |
Chris/Wesker
beat what might easily be the weakest pairing in the contest. Sagat is
the third-strongest of the SFII bosses, and we've seen Dan in a vote-in
get smashed. Sure they're Street Fighter, but they're a rivalry that you
have to care about Street Fighter's plot post-SF2 to care about unlike
the Recolors. If Chris/Wesker could take Tidus/Jecht, let alone the

Not too thrilled about the prospect of Squall facing Sora (again) and Cloud (again).
