know, WBJB vs. Hitler actually did quite well in their vote-in. Even
the Bosses only got 60% on them and the Bosses should be stronger than
Sora/Riku I think. Not sure if this means they will do way better than people expect, or if it just means the 12-way format overrated them highly (which is very possible). But it seems most expect Sora/Riku to double them and I wouldn't be shocked if they underperformed that by a lot, leading to a lot of ridicule being thrown the way of Sora/Riku which may not actually be warranted. I do think that with a very recognizable Wolfenstein pic that team could have legit strength, beyond just "LOL Hitler" votes. Wolfenstein probably has a high playrate and the in-game model for the hero is pretty distinct. Hitler still beats the Catherines even without any 4chan rallying. The rallying ended up being about 780 votes for Hitler, based off how Hitler did in the second half of the poll without any rallying at all. Match XXVIII: (2) Solid Snake/Liquid Snake vs. (7) Crono/Lavos Previous Contest Solid Snake – 2010 72.35% against Proto Man 67.03% against Fox McCloud 55.20% against Pikachu 59.17% against Squall Leonhart 52.96% against Sephiroth 47.91% against Cloud Strife Liquid Snake – 2010 40.88% against Altair Crono – 2010 49.71% against Missingno Lavos – Villains 2005 55.79% against Mother Brain 44.38% against Liquid Snake Analysis Last year was probably a contest Crono and friends would like to forget. Even though it was against a joke character it was very embarrassing losing in the first round. This contest, however adds some salt to those wounds. Not only was Crono forced to go through the vote-ins he has a fellow noble nine character as his opponent. It almost makes you wish that he never made the bracket in the first place. When discussing non-rivalries, Crono and Lavos seem to be one of the most discussed pairs. The only thing that they seem to be opposed of is the fate of the world and even then Lavos is only doing it because that’s what its species does. While the pair looked rather decent in the vote-ins their competition has since flopped horribly and none of them had decent rivalries to begin with. Meanwhile Solid and Liquid Snake are probably among the top in terms of rivals and given that both would win against their opponent should make this match rather easy. It is a shame that the snakes didn’t get a better position in the bracket. Put them anywhere on the top half and we could have seen a lot of debate. In this division they almost have no hope in reaching the quarterfinals. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if the snakes pushed a doubling in this match Lavos doesn’t add much in terms of rivalry and any strength he adds on with Crono, which I doubt would be much since I don’t see people liking Lavos and not Crono would be countered by the fact that Liquid Snake would probably have no problem against Lavos should they ever have a rematch. If
this was Crash vs. Pac-Man by itself, I think the match would be
closer. You can say Blinky is an awful rival all you want, but there's
something great and nostalgic just seeing it together with Pac-Man. The contest is bad not because it consists of rivalries, but that the bracket itself was set up so poorly, especially Round 1. I think we should petition to let some contest gurus have a say in the bracket for future contests, so that we can ensure plenty of good matches. So, there's only two matches with the slightest chance of an upset: the only way Team Ramza can possibly win is there is a surprising surge in FFT popularity coupled with another Soul Calibur drop. And, if Snake doubles Crono, that would just be CRAZY.... yeah, asSafer Sephiroth said, they would be favored over Cloud/Sephiroth at that point. Just looking at the pic advantage of Crono./Lavos it feels like it will a 55/45 match. Probably won't be quite that close, though. --- "Ah, a party! We haven't had one of those. Honestly
I was somewhat scared about Snake *winning* this match considering
Liquid and yo's ridiculously awesome picture, so anything else on top of
that is just gravy (he still isn't going to beat Cloud/Seph, he just...
isn't). Expecting the doubling would be too much, I'd be surprised if
