GameFAQs Contests
Contest Stats and Discussion - Part 1018
For
what it's worth - probably little - Lloyd and Kratos did get a pretty
sweet pic and look a lot more awesome than they usually do. We've gotta
wait on Squall and Sora, but this could easily end up being the second
straight year where the best Square performers through Round 1 are
Terra, Kefka, and Cecil. LMFAO --- Yoblazer: http://oi53.tinypic.com/2hd0dh1.jpg Watch and you'll see... someday I'll be... part of your world! |

Alright
why is everyone over-reacting here? Cloud opened at 65% on RIDLEY and
finished at about 71% and still scored 47% on Link back in 2010. The current result means nothing. --- This signature is signed by Dr. Football |

From: pjbasis | #259 I'd rather see Snake > Cloud than Cloud > Link --- Game of the decade? More like Guru of the decade mirite? |
I believe this is now the longest any contest has gone without a match getting a prediction percentage of under 50%. 2-Summer 2002 (Morrigan vs Spyro) 2-Summer 2007 (Arthas Menethil vs Diablo vs KOS-MOS vs Mega Man) 2-Summer 2008 (Link vs Luke fon Fabre vs Shadow the Hedgehog vs Zidane Tribal) 2-Fall 2010 (Deus Ex vs Rock Band 2) 3-Summer 2003 (Ganondorf vs Tidus) 3-Spring 2009 (Duck Hunt vs Galaga vs Ninja Gaiden vs Super Mario Bros.) 6-Winter 2010 (Amaterasu vs Shadow the Hedgehog) 7-Spring 2006 (Castlevania vs Halo) 10-Spring 2004 (Super Mario RPG vs Street Fighter II) 12-Spring 2005 (Diablo vs Ridley) 13-Summer 2004 (Frog vs Liquid Snake) 19-Summer 2005 (Tommy Vercetti vs Kefka) 23-Summer 2006 (Ryu vs Kratos) We're 24 matches in, beating Summer 2006. No tournament has had an entire first round above 50%. |
I'm just gonna hold out hope by saying that maybe Lloyd/Kratos aren't as weak as their vote-ins suggest. After all if fourways are LOL, then 12-ways has to be...well you get the idea. R2 will give us a better read. |

you sleep still? Wait! Do not be hasty, boys... I can see this site's

format that would one day awaken it?! How ridiculous... So many pathetic
gurus, scattered across a handful of upsets, drifting on their brackets
like fallen leaves on a forgotten pool... What can they possibly hope
to achieve? Don't you see? All of you... Your contests destroyed you! I

Dude, what is that monologue? It's strikingly familiar. |
I'm
thinking Nightmare's gonna to have the bracket advantage. Higher seed,
and I think Soul Calibur trumps a non-numbered Final Fantasy in
brackets these days. The fact that he's a board prediction favorite
helps too. --- "Go get me Jared...from Subway!" -- CM Punk Future 2011 Rivalry Guru Champion! |

will rise a lot from her,e but either way it's not an impressive
performance whatsoever. For reference, Red/Blue got 77% on Jim/Raynor.
Jim/Raynor vs. Lloyd/Kratos. I'm not saying that would actually happen, but it's a clear sign of weakness from them all the same. --- Black Turtle did a pretty good job. |

looking decent against LinkGanon in defeat, but it's still amusing. Sonic/Robotnik > Hour 1 Cloud/Seph through C/Katherine vs. Lloyd/Kratos! With this performance and the new Zelda releasing next week, I'm happy I have Linkdorf winning. --- Tofa7 - LoZ-LoD | Hardcore "Thank you, thank you, no applause necessary, just send money..." |
Let's
not get crazy. Lloyd/Kratos crush Raynor/Kerrigan. Lloyd is fodder
line levelish and Kratos is actually a low midcarder. Anyone who was
banking on mid 80s here was expecting SFF. If they're not actually
getting SFFed and there's a FF7 anti-vote in effect as usual then high
70s finish isn't too weird-- which I still say is still the likely
outcome. --- No problem! This is a cute and pop genocide of love! |
Kratos lost to Sackboy. Low midcarder he isn't. --- Black Turtle did a pretty good job. |
I'm
not sure I'd classify anyone from Tales of Symphonia as any sort of
midcarder. He hasn't won a match and he hasn't looked good while losing.
The highest I could see him is above-average fodder, maybe with Marth
or Banjo or something. --- "Ovelia ... SPOILERS IN THE KEYWORDS WOOPS" - Vormav |
Damnit, I had forgotten about that Sackboy match until now. --- "Go get me Jared...from Subway!" -- CM Punk Future 2011 Rivalry Guru Champion! |
Marth is only "high fodder" since when? --- :> |
"I wonder how much cloud and sephiroth are winning by" *clicks on results* DAAAAAAAAAAAAAYUM --- ~Zen |
Sackboy escaped a doubling from Leon Kennedy so he's probably a low midcarder too nowadays. Don't see why that's so weird. --- No problem! This is a cute and pop genocide of love! |
Yeah, this is a bad showing, but I'll take Lloyd/Kratos over StarCraft people all day. --- peace comes from within |
