It must be from a spin-off game or the OVA, because I don't think I've ever seen those pics for Lloyd or Kratos before. Not
really feeling SFF with ToS here - that's a Nintendo entity pretty
much. Cloud and Seph should still do well enough and hopefully break 80
(they probably need to, to have a prayer against Link), but I wouldn't

should be realistic. Mid-80s (ie: Mario/Link performance), no chance.
As you said, mysterious new guy, ToS has quasi-Nintendo support, and
even in a new format, I'll have to see FFVII triumphing over its

Did you guys see Symphonia in the vote-ins? One of the weaker ones against arguably the strongest in the contest. If this doesn't break 80 I'm calling it over for Cloud and I'd probably be worried if it didn't reach 85. |

Not
beating the twin snakes, imo. Even if Liquid doesn't add much,
CloudvsSephiroth itself can't be too much different than Cloud alone. I could be horribly wrong, but man, if I get that correct... |
We
saw Final Fantasy get 86% on Diablo in the series contest, so you never
know if they can score something similar here. But I'll agree they
probably won't quite match up with Mario and Link, percentage-wise. I
wouldn't be surprised to see them surpass both of them in the number of

Cloud vs. Sephiroth is like the one consistent element that is championed to death about all FFVII appearances. Every instance of Compilation and Kingdom Hearts love to shove it down your throat; it seems to be the most important or at least fanservicey thing that resonates with people, and the reason Sephiroth is hands down the most popular villain ever. I just can't see them lose. |
To
borrow a line from MWC, this is the strongest entrant consisting of
characters ever. Yes, Cloud/Sephiroth > 2006 TP Launch Link, because

I've seen several people say this, but I think this is silly. I agree I've seen people using it for Link/Ganondorf winning. Don't
forget that MGS still has new games coming out, while FFVII weakens
often(did that fighting game come out recently?). Not to mention that
FFXIV may have tarnished many people's view of the FF series. Oh, and them being together won't sway the anti-voters. |

The
Snakes over Cloud/Seph seems like a rough thing to argue for almost the
same reason Snake lost to Samus in 2006 despite seeming stronger at
every point going in. Solid Snake is undoubtedly going to lose some of
his Brawl support, and he needs every bit of it to even make it close to
Cloud, let alone beat Cloud and a character who tripled Snake's

Dude,
you bring up FFXIV as something that could bring Cloud and Sephiroth
down, which is preposterous to begin with, and then think MGS Rising is
gonna matter while ignoring Versus XIII and XIII-2? Anyways, I'm actually a little excited for this match. A Cloud R1 match. Yep. We're about to see what the real champion can do. |

Sephiroth alone. People who hate one and antivote them generally don't

Cloud/Sephiroth
will certainly finish at 80% or above, It will be nice seeing the
