went with Crash in my bracket. I don't think Pac-Man is any more
relevant or noteworthy today than Crash. That said, if I lose any match
in this first round, that has the best chance of being it. Bad match to

CT characters should have an exemption allowing for sprite pictures every round. That Magus/Frog artwork one pains me. --- Black Turtle and Zelda always win! |

yoblazer's wins. well, I think we can cross the Portal duo off the list for taking the division. this could be a lot closer if it were a day match -- I remember Zidane beating Ness at night a few years ago. I'd probably pick Phoenix over them and Alucard for sure. time for Frog/Magus to show what they're made of. they feel like they should do really well, but at the same time it's two guys that are weaker than Alucard. we'll see. --- xyzzy |
I'm
pretty disappointed in Chell/GlaDOS here - I guess Portal 2 hasn't done
that much for them. I know 68% was asking a lot, but I don't see
Ness/Giygas actually being worth much. Wouldn't surprise me if
Frog/Magus beat them up worse than Raiden/Vamp. Division is between the Vampires and CT. The Lawyers needed everyone else to flop, which hasn't happened (would have been awesome if it did though!). --- Praise the Black Turtle, Game of the Decade Guru Champ. match is fairly disappointing for my bracket. They still have a shot
to upset Frog/Magus if they don't do well later today, but right now

Match XXIV: (2) Frog/Magus vs. (7) Raiden/Vamp Previous Contest Frog – 2010 36.78% against Bowser Magus – 2010 41.48% against Alucard Raiden – 2008 28.35% against Master Chief, Kain Highwind, Professor Layton 12.04% against Kirby, Master Chief and Big Boss Vamp – N/A N/A Analysis Chrono Trigger characters didn’t have the best contest last year and while Crono is a lost cause this year Frog and Magus could attempt for some redemption. According to the guru they are the favourites to win the division and while that is very debatable they do have the chance. Raiden on the other hand returns after a year off, but is screwed over by a fellow Metal Gear character for the second time in a row. In an individual match I feel a lot of people would have difficulties deciding whether Raiden could defeat Frog or Magus given his performance in 2008 compare with Frog and Magus’s performance last contest. Obviously when you put both characters together Raiden pretty much has no chance and Vamp probably isn’t adding much due to probably being the weakest Metal Gear character to have ever been in the contest. We can relate this to Raiden and Vamp’s performance in the vote-ins where even though they won the match the performance of every other pair has been terrible and the pair didn’t exactly destroy the poll. A lot of people attribute to Raiden and Vamp being a bad rivalry, but considering all the times they meet with each other in the games I wouldn’t exactly say the rivalry is terrible. Personally I just feel that Vamp is weak. We’ve seen what has happened when two competent characters double team an opponent. A doubling is very possible, though I don’t see Frog and Magus breaking 70%. I've
been thinking about it and i'll take Shepard over Raiden/Vamp. I think
the number that Frog and Magus need to shoot for is a doubling. Raiden
just disappoints every year and Vamp is worse. 70% makes them the clear
