Hmm...
tough one. Gonna go with Shep (haven't played MGS4). Saren may be the
least known of the four, but at least he isn't actively disliked like
Raiden and Vamp seem to be (or have been in the past). From: FateStayAlbion | #148 He's not a bad character or anything, but he takes a huge back seat as soon as you get the plot twist. He really and truly becomes a nothing. I
won't say anything definitive about this division until we see
Frog/Magus in action, but... it's tough not to already favor Aludrac to
win the division. This performance is jaw-dropping. It's
good, yes, but not jaw-dropping. The spread was Alucard with 61%, and
most people took it. There are several Oracle predictions with Alucard
in the 60s as well. I don't think anything about our perceptions

well,
considering that Shepard might beat Alucard in a contest match, I'd say
it's pretty good. this was debated pre-contest. sure, we came to a
consensus after seeing the first two weeks of the contest, but this is a
nice show. it's far from definitive but they came out and put up a
performance that was worthy of discussion. --- xyzzy |
I
think Frog and Magus are being overhyped by Chrono Trigger's fans. The
difference between them and other rivalries in this contest is that
neither of them are the main character of the game, and thus the rivalry
is practically invisible to people who haven't played the game.
Meanwhile, Castlevania's a long-running series, and you don't have to be
a big fan to know that Alucard and Dracula are rivals. And Alucard straight-up beat Magus last year, and Dracula can only help. --- Xbox Live: Mach Tornado PSN: HeyGuysItsGhoul |

seems about right to me. It's good, but it's not impressive. This
wasn't a match I spent much time thinking about. Need to see Frog /
Magus, but I still like them for the division. That's a great rivalry
from one of the most popular games on this site. They should do well. --- peace comes from within |

of curiosity, what would the Portal duo have to get in % Vs. Ness for

stronger than Ness/Giygas. Anything less than 60% and I'd say they have

Match XXIII: (3) Chell/GlaDOS vs. (6) Ness/Giygas Previous Contest Chell – N/A N/A GlaDOS – 2010 66.78% against Fawful 31.60% against Kirby Ness – 2010 64.81% against Geno 45.64% against Big Daddy Giygas – Villains 2005 15.02% against Ganondorf Analysis There’s always a match where despite what the stats say the board goes for something that should be the weaker pair. It may be because we feel that the stats are wrong, but this time it is because we feel that GlaDOS is a different character. Just by looking at their previous contest results should be enough to see that Ness looked to be the more impressive character yet few people are considering a threat. A lot has happened to GlaDOS since her last contest. Firstly Portal was given out for free on Steam where over 2 million people downloaded the game and earlier this year the sequel, Portal 2 was released. Portal’s jump in strength between the second games contest and the game of the decade contest which didn’t have Portal 2 at the time is supporting of GlaDOS getting stronger as more people gain knowledge of Portal and GlaDOS. Ness like Captain Falcon may be at a disadvantage due to getting a large portion of his strength from the Smash series where people have no knowledge of Giygas. Then again it would be hard for even Earthbound fans to admit that Ness and Giygas are a rivalry. Overall the format and choice of rival for Ness is going to be his downfall, even if he was somehow still stronger than GlaDOS. Not sure how I feel about Chell’s strength other than I feel she’s a better rival to GlaDOS and that she would defeat Giygas without too much trouble, I just kind of wished she had more of her portal cannon in the picture. Ness winning would be so glorious, but I don't see it happening with him losing to Big Daddy last year. The Real Truth posted... People are over-estimating Portal here and it's gonna hurt. I wouldn't be surprised if Ness wins that match. EarthBound is my favorite game of all time, and I sincerely think the Ness/Giygas match pic might be the GOAT. Would
Lucas/Claus be stronger than Ness/Giygas? Ness has more exposure than
Lucas, but even Earthbound fans are having trouble admitting it's a true

Haven't been around for a few days, quick thoughts: *Ammy - expected doubling. *Zidane - big underperformance here. But...why does Zidane have red eyes and pink hair? *Mega Man - expected. *Phoenix - expected. *Alucard - expected. Never played Earthbound but I really love the pic, you get a serious sense of underdog epic flavor there. Also the picture has a major standout factor. I don't think this pic will hurt Ness like people are saying. But I know nothing of Portal so I'm just going to pick Portal with just under 60% since that appears to be what most are going with and I have no clue. I'm anticipating the Frog/Magus match. Seeing Frog/Magus together is pretty much the best thing about this contest. I hope that they can push mid 60's there to look impressive. The Cloud/Sephiroth match could go a lot of ways and it will be tough to read things from it - Tales does have it's fanbase here so maybe it can get like 20%. for high 60s. Aren't Raiden/Vamp supposed to suck? Does the MGS fanbase
like that rivalry? I've played MGS2 multiple times and can barely
