Not surprised Phoenix won, but by THIS MUCH is crazy. And yeah assuming a strong character could carry was a bad way to pick this contest. don't know about that quite yet, as we haven't seen Alucard, Shephard,
Chell, and Frog in action yet, but as someone that has the Lawyers

My
bracket has the lawyers winning the division but my bracket's a joke
where I made a bunch of insane picks I forgot I made, and never changed
it. I have some insanely stupid mistakes in there, seriously. This is
what happens when you do it late at night and don't pay any attention. My battle's perfect so far though, since that had some thought put into it. I think I'll decide how far to take Phoenix/Edgeworth after we see how everyone else does. Ahahaha, this is f***ing awesome. I even have them winning too. I have Shepard/Saren winning though, which has me worried because of the whole rivalry factor and all. But if that actually happens, surely I'll end up #1 on the leaderboard after today's matches, which would be hilarious. first wrong match in this contest.But the thing I hate more is that I
didn't trusted a number 1 seed!I mean in all these contests in all these
years only once has a 1 seed lost on the first match.Ah well
whatever.So as I have said there will be perfect brackets at the end of
this thing.The question is how many.Also I believe only once there was a

the only contest where we had perfect brackets was the series contest.

ah I missed that one. I really want to see Frog/Magus. I can't put my hands on how strong they are. Raiden/Vamp should be a good litmus test - Fox/Wolf got 60% on Yuna/Seymour and Raiden/Vamp beat those two out. Frog/Magus should at least hit 60%, I imagine, but they could also bomb or go really big. --- xyzzy |

no way to accurately predict how this division will go. And unless
someone really wows us in the next three matches, I expect the division

Match XXII: (4) Alucard/Dracula vs. (5) Commander Shepard/Saren Arterius Previous Contest Alucard – 2010 58.52% against Magus 28.21% against Link Dracula – N/A N/A Commander Shepard – 2010 75.79% against Ellis 38.99% against Pikachu Saren Arterius – N/A N/A Analysis About a year ago SBAllen told us that characters that are based on a fictional character, but technically are not such as Dracula would not be allowed. In this contest he had a change of heart and allowed fictional characters as long as they were a part of a rivalry. There’s been some debate in this match, but personally I feel pretty confident with the vampires taking this. Considering how weak Commander Shepard was in his first contest he did look rather impressive, however if you were to take a step back I think most people would agree that Alucard would have been able to put up a similar if not better performance than Shepard. While Pikachu and Pokemon in general were enjoying probably their best contest, in 2008 Alucard was able to get similar numbers on Pikachu while people were rallying to get rid of L-Block. There’s also the possibility that Shepard is weaker this contest. Mass Effect 2 was only released less than a month before the match with Pikachu while today things have settled down and while Mass Effect 3 is coming out next year you can tell the hype hasn’t reached the same level as a newly released Mass Effect 2. Dracula will be an interesting character to watch out for with some people feeling that he could be stronger than Alucard due to people voting for the fictional character. I feel that is not going to happen to a large extent. Since this is a rivalry battle I think the poll makes it fairly clear that they are talking about the Dracula from Castlevania and not the one from the stories. He may attract a few apathetic voters that don’t know any of the other characters, but I feel that advantage will be relatively small. Even if Dracula turns out to be weaker than expected Alucard should be able to anchor the team to a win, especially since Saren isn’t bringing much to the table in terms of strength or rivalry power. A significant portion of the board is expecting Alucard and Dracula to survive the division while a noticeable amount of people have Shepard and Saren going far. I haven't exactly been keeping up with the updates, but I doubt a day match would be enough to turn this match around. Turning around a 56-44 is a bigger difference than anything we've seen so far. taking AlucarDraculA in hopes that their old-school respect pulls
through for them again like it did in the Series Contest against Halo (a
popular two-game series at the time like ME is right now). I'd be more
