don't think Auron/Jecht would be noticeably stronger just because you
plug a stronger character in because voters will recognize that it isn't

It's
somewhat of a shame how Tidus/Jecht had to go up against Big Boss/The
Boss so early. I think they might actually be my two favorite rivalries
in the whole contest. I don't love FFX all too much, and I have only played MGS3 partway (though I know more about the story than that), but they really are quality parent (figure)/child (figure) rivalries. Lots of resentment and love- complicated further by trying circumstances, shared goals with contrasting attitudes, et cetera. Most of the entries have silent protagonists, overused characters, or simple villains in them. So, I voted for Tidus/Jecht just because they were getting less votes.. --- Fear is the science that turns nightmares into fantasy. - Rethcir |
