here comes the main event so far.This next match will sort the men from

there's
a pretty huge gap between the Bosses and Yuna/Seymour. those two lost
to Raiden/Vamp. Tidus/Jecht isn't a mile above Yuna/Seymour, I don't
think, so I wouldn't say 60% means Samus is in trouble. not with all the
blowouts we've seen. I'd need to see at least a doubling to think that. --- add the c and back away iphonesience |
That 2007 match reminds me. Has there ever been a one-trick pony worse than Marcus Fenix? I mean he was one of the big stars of 2007, but his 2008 performance was not good. How do you go from beating respectable characters like Kefka and Ocelot to losing to Rydia in a year? EDIT: I toned down this post because I completely forgot he even appeared in 2010 and didn't look awful. shush. He may be (or have been) a massive choker but he always looked
pretty decent in the stats and when he did choke, it was against pretty

Obviously
depending on the characters there are exceptions. Tidus and Jecht are
two huge names in Final Fantasy. The Boss? Eh. And Big Boss is only
riding Snake's coat tails. |

Boss hasn't rode Snake's coat tails in years and even then I suspect he

Match XVI: (2) Tidus/Jecht vs. (7) Big Boss/The Boss Previous Contest Tidus – 2010 46.14% against Sub-Zero Jecht – 2010 52.70% against Phoenix Wright 56.16% against Ratchet 40.28% against Zelda Big Boss – 2010 76.22% against Miles Edgeworth 36.85% against Mario The Boss – 2010 52.37% against Nathan Drake 46.20% against Weighted Companion Cube Analysis While the way the contest has gone should make anyone that went with Big Boss and The Boss feel good about their picks I do feel it is a bit premature to call this match a lock. Tidus and Jecht are no weaklings in the rivalry department and even though they may not match Big Boss and The Boss they will weaken their advantage a bit. Going by individual strength I feel most people would take Big Boss as the strongest of the bunch while The Boss is the weakest. Jecht’s true strength has been the subject of debate when you take into account that his performance against Ratchet and Phoenix Wright shouldn’t put him above 40% against Zelda, either way very few people would take The Boss over Jecht. To any one that played Metal Gear Solid 3 would appreciate the rivalry between Big Boss and The Boss; however it doesn’t have the same iconic nature as some of the other pairs in this contest and while it may not matter here it will matter in future rounds. Tidus displays his hate for Jecht pretty well in Final Fantasy X, but I feel the rivalry between them is actually better shown in Dissidia which has a lower player rate relative to Final Fantasy X. While characters appearing in the vote-in have performed terribly Big Boss and The Boss destroyed their poll to the point where it is almost laughable to include them with the vote-in winners that have flopped. Big Boss' best victories are over Magus, Kirby, and Fox (with the last two having potential SFF). Tidus' best victories are over DK and Tails. But he gave Ganon a run a long time ago. The Boss beat Drake. Jecht beat no one of importance but got a close run from a really weak Phoenix. C'mon Bosses. The ball is in your court! --- Pobody's nerfect. |
