WalrusJump posted... Someone give me logic on Phoenix > Gordon. I really don't see that happening. Gordon has only gotten stronger since '06. Phoenix has gotten weaker. The next year he barely beat Bomberman, of all people. This is backwards. Phoenix has every reason to improve (I don't feel like posting the list, but every pro-Phoenix factor has been posted several times now, look that up). Gordon, on the other hand, has either stayed static or gotten weaker. He has had literally nothing since 2007, and is slowly being forgotten about. This is backed up by actual performances. You say it like Phoenix beating Bomberman is a bad thing, but Bomberman isn't that weak, he beat Crash badly, and has looked progressively better with each year. Actually, if you go by the stats 2010 Phoenix would beat 2006 Phoenix with just less than 2006 Gordon. Now, there are no reliable stats for Gordon post-2006, but he hasn't looked too hot. He barely beat Peach, then did worse than Big Daddy on Tifa. Needless to say, if he has gotten stronger, it's not by much. Gordon would probably still beat Phoenix one on one, but he wouldn't break 55% if that. Now, that said, we've seen multiple times that this is not a straight character battle. Look no further than X/Zero vs. Falcon/Shadow for evidence of that. Rivalries matter. Teamups matter. Phoenix vs. Edgeworth is a much better rivalry, and an iconic one to boot. And while Edgeworth may be weak, Breen is competing for the weakest entrant we've ever seen. Poorly as Edgeworth did last year, he looked way better than Alyx did back in 2006 and well, Breen would logically be much weaker than her... Plus, Phoenix has the advantage of a 1 seed, a night match, and lower vote totals tend to favour dedicated fanbases like the Ace Attorney one. no world should DK have a shot against Subs/Scorp. There's just no
real way to justify it, cause everything the team of DK/Rool does

I'm
of the opinion that today's result is more DK boosting due to DKCR than
Ezio sucking. And this is a really impressive performance to me. I had
DK eeking out a sub-52% win today. We'll see how the ninjas do against
