have a feeling this is going to end up being like 2006 where we see
people eliminated from the Guru by the end of the first or second

And
all the matches I feel really questionable about are in Round 2
onward... except for Ike/Poo which is the second damn match in the

don't really think Ike/Conker is very questionable. I don't really see
where Conker has any advantages unless we think a large number of people

agree by the end of the first round we'll probably have something like
less than 20% of gurus remaining. There's only going to be so many ways
that people built the southwest division and the ones that have large

It's
not at all Conker that I'm worried about. Conker hasn't seen a contest
match in like six years and is a forgotten relic of the N64 era (he
couldn't even get in 4ways). It's the poo. It's the fact that a mound of
solid waste will be occupying like 40% of the match pic (because which
pic maker is going to give Conker and The Poo equal real estate). I'm no Fire Emblem connoisseur, but I know Black Knight sounds incredible generic, and I have my doubts if he'll bring anything to his team. Obviously, the slug-butt joke option won't do anything against a team as iconic as Mario/Bowser, but Poo is a more recognizable and appealing option, and against a team as apathetic as Ike/Black Knight? just figure Ike being easily the most popular entity in the match is
more than enough to win this match. I don't figure someone like
Conker/Poo can take advantage of the fact that Ike/Black Knight isn't a
solid, well-known rivalry. The Smash contingent will vote for Ike, and

that's played Path of Radiance should like the rivalry between Ike and
the Black Knight. Of course the problem is not too many people have

last contest proved both were pretty damn weak. To me, this match is
all about whether the Smash/Nintendo fanbase cares enough about Ike to

Add in the black knight and it highlights a rivalry and series which a lot of the regular Ike supporters aren't going to get behind. In a straight Fire Emblem: PoR/RD vs Conker's Bad Fur Day battle I would back Conker, the addition of Black Knight and separation from brawl is what I'd be banking on. The joke vote factor would just smooth off the rough edges of doubt. Basically the same people who see Ike and think "I fight for my friends" are likely the same audience who'd be impressed and amused by faeces in a poll. --- Smurf, the cream of Sonic fanboyism |

was an avid supporter of Skyrim during the last poll/GotY debate, but
this performance is stronger then I anticipated. The last poll happened
before anyone knew anything about Zelda, so it was easy to see why
Skyrim would win. But now, so much if known about the Zelda game and

thought Skyrim would do worse against Zelda this time with the extra
Zelda hype since the last poll... but Skyrim hype has just overwhelmed
Zelda to the point its even doing a few percentage points better this
