know that you guys love your returning fodder, but Captain Falcon is
somehow behind them and has proven to be well above the fodder line.
Bayonetta is untested and at least would have provided a change in pace.

thing I don't think has been mentioned is that Big Boss will no longer
be able to be Solid Snake's rival. That leaves Liquid and Revolver as

took last place in two different vote-ins: Killer7 took one in the
GotD-contest, and Harman/Kun will be taking it today. The only other
time we've seen something similar was when two entries from the same
series took last; the Tales-series had Emil Castagnier and Jade Curtiss
lose hard in back-to-back polls. How weak are they? Jade's the only

They have to be stronger than Lloyd/Kratos even though they're losing to them in this poll! Falcon doesn't even have the excuse of another Nintendo rivalry in the poll to excuse it. Falcon is strong because of Smash Bros., so when you start trying to draw rivalry strength from F-Zero itself, he's not going to do as well. --- "But you have been given freedom. nah that's NIS I don't think an Atlus character has even made the contest. I'd have a hard time picking just one Persona character. I want to say Chie or Yosuke would be strongest, but it's like the TOS guys - all pretty close and all pretty weak. there's no Kratos Aurion in that cast. --- xyzzy |

Persona
4 is slightly stronger than TWEWY and Persona 3 is slightly stronger
than Civilization IV. I wouldn't take Laharl to have a snowball's chance
in hell against Kratos Aurion or Lloyd, and I'd think Laharl might be
the peak for a Persona character. Hell, Persona things might be closer

Laharl may be the peak is generous. I'd never take a Persona character
to win a match, something Laharl has done! Plus, Disgaea has a much
higher playrate than Persona plus Laharl is much more popular among the

What
reason is there to believe that a Persona character would actually have
anything vaguely resembling strength? An extremely close win over Dead
Rising? The second-tier Persona losing the US to a like, sixth-tier PC
game on a site that doesn't care at all about PC games? Persona 4 not
only has the same being a cult RPG factor that Laharl (and Tales crap)
has, but Laharl at least has 'came out while the system has a higher
playrate' and 'had a port on a Nintendo thing' going for him. TOS was absolutely stronger at its peak than Persona is now. TOS has fallen a long way -- as all cult RPGs do -- so it's possible that Persona has overtaken it, but probably not. TOS broke into the mainstream in a way that Persona never did. --- xyzzy |

games, but the characters have become completely horrible, so picking
