Battlefield 3 has strongly advertised itself as 'the CoD killer'. That's more than enough to get some GameFAQers attention. --- Black Turtle did a pretty good job. |

reviews' is nonexistant. No one needs to know how good these games will

Not even in exchange for letting them in. If this contest is a
complete, unmitigated disaster, it'll end up being near 18 months

Basically.
This is the only contest we're going to get this year and who knows
when we're going to get another one. I at least want to have something

We're only at 13757 noms right now. Surprised
that we haven't had a post of discussion about this poll, which is
kinda neat. I bet it paints an accurate picture of the genre popularity
rankings around here. For some reason, this poll got me thinking: what is the #4 series on GameFAQs today? It was either MGS or Smash during the series contest, but it seems as though both have fallen off (MGS moreso). I
think Smash would still beat Pokemon. MGS has dropped down a tier in my
opinion though, it's probably got spot #6 locked up, with Metroid and
Kingdom Hearts rounding out the top 8. Geez, there is really a lack of big players when it comes to series. Would there be any series that has grown enough or been introduced in the past 5 years worth noting? The only ones I can think of are Half Life, Portal and Fallout. Elder Scrolls would get a boost too. If
Mass Effect 3 lives up to the hype, then maybe that series? ME did
pretty well in GotD, and ME2 is at least a notch stronger. If the final
game is stronger still, then that series might be able to give something

It's confirmed we have 83 underage users. I highly doubt that "My parents" would be getting the ASV in this poll. Nominations. Why don't they end? I don't know. Seems like Bacon prefers to have around 2 to 3 weeks for nominations, based on the nomination periods in the past. were getting about 600 nominations a day at this point in time, so
that's about 25 an hour. So about 50 nominations from 1:59 PM to 3:59
PM and it's not too unreasonable to expect another 12 nominations from

don't think I can do an average nomination count, because it widely
varies from contest to contest. Like, we got over 200000 nominations
back in 2008. About 165000 in 2009 for the Games contest. About 90000
