For the GOTD nominations, it took 6 hours, 35 minutes to reach 5000 nominations. Today, we currently have 4022 nominations after 6 hours, 35 minutes. Charizard vs Blastoise/Venusaur(no BvsV though) Lugia vs Ho-Oh Kyogre vs Groudon Dialga vs Palkia Reshiram vs Zekrom All could workI personally would nom all those except DvsP. Mewtwo vs Mew was really only present in the anime, and never occurred in the games directly. Same could be said about CvsB/V and LvsH, but theyh at least have version mascot stuff. |

though if Cecil/Golbez gets in over Cecil/Kain I will be very upset.
Cecil/Kain is better for several reasons and has a better chance of

Mewtwo/Mews
back story in the games is that scientists found a pregnant Mew in
South America, take it to Cinnabar Island Mansion, mess with it's genes,
and Mewtwo is born. Mewtow destroys the place, and then just sits in
the Unknown Dungeon/Cerulean Cave. As cool as it sounds, Mewtwo vs Mew is really anime only. Hell, even Lugia vs Ho-Oh is questionable, as they never have any conflict at all ingame(besides advertizements). Kyogre vs Groudon works, but Gen 3 was the low point in the series. Dialga and Palkia don't fight at all in Platinum(they actually work together even). Reshiram vs Zekrom deserves nominations though; it would be interesting to see how powerful BW's new Pokemon are in the contests. |

If you're attracted by robots (or robotic suits, for that matter) then Master Chief >>>>> Suit Samus. Oh wait, you think KERRIGAN is sexy? So, you think Sindel is sexy too? Who the heck is Sindel? Maybe Kerrigan isn't all that attractive, but, as I said, what the characters do and their personalities also factors into how "sexy" they are for me, and Leon/Kerrigan nail Samus as far as that goes (and I liked Samus's personality in Other M! It just can't compete with Leon and Kerrigan, that's all). Also Power Suit Samus is at least as beautiful as Suitless Samus is. Either way though, Leon is more attractive/sexier to me (and I think this discrepancy would be even worse if I were actually female). Also, I will repeat this: there's the issue of voice. Leon and Kerrigan have awesome voices, while Samus...only does in my dreams (again, I liked Samus's voice in Other M - it just can't compete with Leon and Kerrigan!). Also even though I have not yet played FFVII, I'd totally vote for Cloud/Sephiroth over Link/Ganon. --- Currently Playing - StarCraft: Brood War |

that subplot and develop it into an epic clash of the titans. I would
call it akin to a historical figure being "fictionalized" and displayed

WTF there's a new contest? Awesome! Guess this is better than I thought it would be. I do wonder if this is gonna be any different from the protagonists of each game fighting each other though. Cloud vs. Sephiroth and Mario vs. Bowser could rival Link vs. Ganondorf pretty well though. |
