I missed the start of yesterday's poll. Good
on GameFAQs for evaluating the strength and quality of an entire
series, I guess. CT is fantastic, but it's part of a two-game series,
and the only one of two that really seems to matter. Mario Kart has had
six games that have all sold millions and kept fans happy for countless

Well I don't care about any of the other franchises in this poll (at least not DKC YET), so I voted for Chrono Trigger. It probably doesn't help that the only Mario Karts I've played recently are Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart Wii, and I've never played the original and it's been a LONG TIME since I played Kart 64 or Super Circuit so I can't really form opinions on them. --- Currently Playing - StarCraft Hopefully Next Up - Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid, Brood War |

In fact, it looks like it gained with the day vote, while Mario Kart

I'm cleaning up the reported problems as quickly as I can in hopes of an open beta early next week. Feedback's been great so far and some of the last minute additions in particular are going over well. I'll save the details until the actual open beta, but suffice to say that you should be able to flesh out an entire massive game collection easily in under an hour. The next thing I wanted to mention that I'm going to try out next week is kind of a reverse of Ask GameFAQs. I mean, there are only so many interesting questions that I can answer, and while I'll still probably be restarting Ask GF pretty soon, I thought it could be equally interesting for me to pose questions to the masses. So on monday, I'll be asking you a question and seeing what all of GameFAQs thinks about issues related to gaming or to the site itself. I'll share the more interesting answers and the general response to the question. Should be fun and interesting. Finally I just wanted to touch base on a few other things further down the pipeline. The Terms of Use update I previewed before is still in the works. Anytime the legal department has to be involved with a process, it can take a while. I'm not only working on getting this update through, but we're working together on ways to ensure that future updates will go by much more quickly. There are a few other really exciting things in store for GameFAQs, and one in particular that I know everyone is going to love, but I can't go into details on those yet. Keep checking here for news though as I can't wait to share what's coming up with you all and I hope to get this info out as soon as possible! Here we go. |

It
would actually be kind of interesting to see what combinations of
tag-teams could beat Link. Link v. Cloud and Mario (together as one
option) would almost certainly end in Mario + Cloud's favor, but how
about Cloud plus Sephiroth? Any of those three plus Snake probably ends
in a win for the challenging team, but what about Mario plus Samus?
Throw high midcarders like Charizard in there and who knows what
happens. Charizard plus Vincent vs. Link would probably cause a lot of
debate and be get something at least mildly close to a 50% prediction
rate for either side. Obviously a contest involving matches like those would have a ton of problems, but it would at least be pretty much the only way to have Link involved in a contest in a way that doesn't trivialize it. Also, I believe that Bacon is referring to a contest in his admin blog. This is purely based on my gut instinct that he enjoys these contests too and knows that for the most part people get excited about them. --- on 4ways: right now they have inherent flaws, but could be easily fixed by implementing approval voting! ~ToadYoshi 1. is purely based on my gut instinct that he enjoys these contests too and
knows that for the most part people get excited about them. Well, over on LUE it seems like he shot down my suggestion of spoiler tags. Although I'm not sure if it backed up "contest" either. He basically said, "Spoiler tags are coming, but something more important is coming first." While I'm highly skeptical of anything being more important than spoiler tags, outside a fundamental overhaul of the boards themselves to make spoiler tags possible, I'm not so sure he could reasonably make that claim over a contest, as much as I'd like one to happen. think a team like Crono/Samus or Crono/Megaman could topple Link/fodder
or Cloud/low midcarder in a tag-team contest. Although, if somehow
Link/Tanner beat Mario/Snake for the championship, I would laugh so

disagree there. I think a tag team match would not be the same as
running a 4-way and adding up percentages by team, but that people will
consider the team as a whole, like they do with series. So, Link/Tanner would break 50% on Crono/Samus in a 4-way, but in a tag-team battle, I think Crono/Samus can take it. --- 90s games > 00s games |

do that with my favorite character Crono, but once you get below my top
3, that probably won't be the case. Even with Link or Serge, say, if
they were paired with Sonic, there are a number of combinations I might
