Just
beat Portal 2 - I think this will be the game I'll be cheering on in
the GOTY polls (well, maybe UC3). I could see it doing quite well - it
looked solid here: http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=4397. Obviously it'll be no match for Skyward Sword, but if that game slips to 2012... you never know. --- Praise the Black Turtle, Game of the Decade Guru Champ. (Well, I never promised creativity, did I?!) |
Does
anyone know when that Comic Con costume Battle will end? I wonder if

think "Several times a day" might actually have a chance to perform
slightly better near the end of the poll as many users are getting ready

had a dream last night that SBAllen had put up not one, but two
contests, but they were both REALLY bad and weren't in a knockout style

feel that the last chance for us to get a contest would be by
mid-September. If there's no nominations by then we might as well

It did terrible in the first 4 hours of the morning vote until it suddenly started gaining strength as the poll continued to go on. "A few times a year" had a terrible board vote and Power Hour, but it did have an okay night vote. Morning vote was terrible, but it would go berserk in the afternoon. Speaking of which, the original Portal has continued to improve here over the years; we've gone from seeing the Orange Box lose against Guitar Hero 3 to seeing Portal take 44.54% against RE4 -- previous GotY-winner and current legend of modern gaming. Portal 2 released since then, so the Portal-name is bigger than ever and should be in good shape. never had a year without a contest, correct? I wouldn't worry about a
lack of a contest this year. I just hope it gets announced before part
1000, or else the topic will be overrun with pointless posts and have

I'm
fairly impressed that Mario RPG is keeping pace with Mario World early
on. I suppose even though it's a Mario game, it has a somewhat more

SMRPG always sinks really far overnight. It's like Chrono Trigger with
Europe, except it doesn't have a good night vote in North America, so
it has the most abysmal deep night vote ever. --- 90s games > 00s games |

is no joke, it got 47% on GoldenEye 007 last contest. I think the
bigger shock is that LttP isn't destroying SMW despite it having three

Mario
RPG is a legit game. I was just rather impressed it was standing up to
Mario World early on. It's still beating Super Metroid, at least! But Mario World is the clear favorite as far as Mario games go, so it's not too surprising it's not getting LFF'd majorly by the other options. Almost makes a Mario World/LTTP match seem interesting. Although you obviously can't take anything out of an LFF match with this many options (other than Star Fox sucks). I hope we get polls like this for other systems, too. I figure SMRPG is hurting SMW a bit, and SMA and SMW2 would go over to
SMW in large numbers, so I'd like to see LTTP beat the three non-RPG
Mario games combined as a starter, since LTTP is supposed to be able to
