Maybe not, but: 1) LoZ:MM won the GotD-contest over the game that beat LoZ:TP. 2) LoZ:MM outdid LoZ:TP in February's LoZ-console poll. 3) LoZ:MM beat LoZ:TP worse than SSBB did in IGN's LoZ-contest. Furthermore, if you thought LoZ:MM got a special advantage in the GotD-contest by being a N64-game against a Wii-game, LoZ:TP isn't going to magically recover from that by not being the strongest game on the Wii. It doesn't hurt that LoZ:MM managed to be the oldest one-seed in the contest while LoZ:TP had to settle with a four-seed, either. LoZ:TP can't be ruled out, but it's hard to be favored. honestly isn't THAT large of a margin, and it's not unreasonable to
assume the margin is closer than that because MM got more help from
anti-Brawl sentiment than TP did. Honestly man, I probably don't give TP enough credit. I think the amount of hate it gets from hardcore gamers tends to cloud my judgment regarding its contest strength. I kind of feel like people don't give MM enough credit, though! I mean, its GotD victory wasn't an L Block-level fluke or anything. People all over the web have grown to appreciate it a lot more, and it's a game released during GameFAQs' "Golden Age," so it has a solid nostalgia pull. GranzonEx posted... You people are underrating FFVI's power because it hasn't been tested properly, as opposed to FFX. Based on the following polls (and the calculations I did on them) I can say that FFVI would probably beat FFX with a margin of maybe 2-4%. If we end up cutting out ALttP and Mario 64 from the poll, we would end up having: FFVI and FFVII: 53.91% = 100% (In other words, those 2 games represent the 53.91% of the entire poll, which turns into 100% if we turn it into a direct match.) Based on this, if both games combined equals 53.91%, then that's our 100%. If we compare them directly, we end up having: FFVI on FFVII: 25.69% / 74.30% (25.69 + 74.30 = 99.99%) FFVII wins over FFVI by 74.30% And now: http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=3508 Another poll that contains 2 Square games and 2 Nintendo games (a.k.a. no LFF involved). finals of that contest are a bad example to use because that match was
FFVII vs. OoT and everybody knew it. Only the hardcore FFX and LTTP fans

I think FFVI can still win, but I don't think I'd consider it the favorite anymore. Actually,
in such a contest, it would be fairly high since only the last two
rounds are 24 hours as it stands right now. If Bacon pushed it back a
round or two, then maybe. If the 24 hour matches can be pushed back to the quarterfinals, that would be even better. It would extend the contest by 2 days to create a 67 day contest. It's definitely not FFVI level. It got pounded pretty bad in the Games Contest, and Ramza has looked terrible the last couple contests.
