You
know, I was just thinking...With the PSN fiasco and the free games they
gave away, I wonder if we'll see a Sackboy boost next contest, or if
the guy from inFamous will get in and do decently, especially since

Infamous
is probably gonna have a million or more new owners, Infamous 2 might
do better than expected because of that, and Infamous guy will be in

The
first inFamous game got pounded badly by Fallout 3 in the last contest
and inFamous was one of the games that was given out for free as a
reward after the PSN came back online again. Now that inFamous 2 came
out recently, it could encourage many people go to back and play the
first inFamous. Both of those facts could provide the first inFamous
with a boost if it got into another games contest. As for Sackboy, that's also possible because of LBP2 coming out near the beginning of this year. The first LBP was also one of the games given out for free on both PS3 and PSP as a result of the PSN hacking, so that could help out Sackboy's chances of being stronger in the next Character Battle. --- Luster Soldier - Popular at school. ~Shield Bearer~ | ~Data Analyst~ |
Yeah, I don't think the inFamous guy will be that
strong, but it could help. I'd be pretty surprised if he didn't make
the contest, at the very least. He was in the vote-ins last time, if I'm

As
far as inFamous goes, Fallout 3 may have SFFd it (...hey, they're both
open-world games on the PS3!). Also inFamous 2 avoided being doubled by
Ocarina of Time's remake in that one poll...although perhaps the fact
that DUKE NUKEM FOREVER was beating Ocarina in that poll until the
morning arrived means something. EDIT: And oh me oh my, looks like that vote-in poll had Jade Curtiss in last place! HOW THE HECK HAS THAT GUY EVER MADE A CONTEST AGAIN??? --- Currently Playing - Resident Evil 4 |
Well I was just watching a YouTube LP of The Third Birthday, and I have to wonder what'll become of Aya Brea in these contests. So I guess Duke Nukem and Aya Brea are some major wildcards. On the one hand, both characters have each received their first major game in years, but on the other hand, said games were regarded by most gamers to be big disappointments. I think both characters will stay the same. DNF seems to be selling pretty well and Aya Brea takes most of her strength from TJF anyway. --- Currently Playing - Resident Evil 4 |

the main thing is that she's not a fan favourite so outside of a few
apathy votes from people recognizing her she won't be getting much of a

in 2002 was just that popular around here. I'm not sure how people
could claim Aya is TJF reliant other than the fact that she's a female
because she's not that well endowed and she certainly doesn't flaunt her

Parasite
Eve 1 sold ~800,000 copies in the U.S and is a Square game. Given that,
Aya Brea being a low-midcard in 2002 pretty much makes sense. That said, she didn't even make it into the female bracket and 3rd Birthday's sales in the west are pretty awful, so she would probably need board 8 support to make it in, and I doubt she has retained her strength. |
Speaking
of TJF and 2002, one rematch I'd love to see is Gordon Freeman VS Tina
