I was thinking, "CTDS boost? Can't be, all the CT guys lost in the
first round last time!" However, let's do some thinking to justify the
CT guys' performances: Magus lost badly to Alucard, and Castlevania seems to have some weird overlap with CT. Plus Alucard got 28% on Link the round afterwards, which may indicate a boost of sorts... Frog got 37% on Bowser, which doesn't look as bad as it did initially since Bowser managed to crap all over that division's 1 seed (or, in other words, DIDN'T DISAPPOINT FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 2005!!!), quite possibly due to Bowser's Inside Story. Crono is projected to get 47% on Sephiroth, though he is also projected to be equal to...Yoshi. Breaking 40% on Sephiroth isn't exactly much of an accomplishment nowadays for a NN-tier character anyway. Anyway, I'll continue attempting to justify how CT entrants continue to be embarrassed so consistently in our contests despite a possible CTDS boost. Earlier, the reasoning was that Alucard and Bowser both exceeded expectations for the rest of the contest (for the most part, whatever), while Missingno is a joke entrant. Now there's just one more angle to cover: why CT itself was embarrassed by SM64 in the games contest. To put it simply, SM64 is a glorified beast of a game! totals have been sucking lately. We just had 3 polls in a row that all
had under 50000 votes. The last time that happened was back in January
when we had all of those GotY polls. Looks like today's poll is sucking in vote totals as well. Just barely over 100 votes after the first minute.
