Well,
DS ports and remakes will never win actual GOTY, but remakes and ports
win the DS GOTY quite frequently, so I wouldn't be surprised if a port

The
funny part is, if a DS Game Contest, took place, Phoenix Wright would
get a good chunk of brackets taking it to the championship. It might be

If
no handheld LoZ-game aside from LoZ:LA has ever even reached the
vote-ins, then I'm not too worried about LoZ:PH -- especially
considering some of the comments about recent handheld LoZ-games. Sure,
nominations =/= strength, but anything that's won a contest here
without rallying has been highly seeded. From a glance, eight DS-games
made it into GotD (including PW:AA and Pokemon D/P, which made it into
BGE2 too) and another one made the vote-ins...if we had a sixteen-game
bracket for the DS, LoZ:PH would theoretically not even be in the
top-seeded half...and this is just within its system's ~six-year
library, not all systems across ten years, so I don't think it'll have
special SFF'ing powers. Throw in potential trouble from remakes like
SM64DS and CTDS along with other snubs that could do well enough like
NSMB, and that'll make a tough route for LoZ:PH. ZELDAFEAR is a console-phenomenon, not a handheld-one. Thinking about it, who would win any sort of console exclusive contest? NES: Mario 3 SNES: LTTP Genesis: Which Sonic game would take it? 1, 2, 3, or S&K? Game Boy: R/B/Y, yeah... Game Boy Advance: I'm not entirely sure which Pokemon games have come out for each handheld, but I'd guess one of them. DS: D/P/P, maybe? PSP: Birth by Sleep? Crisis Core? N64: OooooooooooooooooT PS1: FFVII PS2: FFX PS3: MGS4? Dreamcast: Sonic Adventure 2...? XBox: Halo 1 or KOTOR (unless something's slipping my mind) 360: I would say ME2, but it's technically multi-platform now, so... Wii: Twilight Princess PC: Diablo 2? what I'd take to be the strongest games on some systems (note that I
*am* counting multiplatform releases for some systems if those games
happen to be more significant on the system I list them under, plus I'm
only counting systems here which aren't entirely composed of fodder),

Golden Sun being the strongest GBA game seems strange, but it makes
sense. Pokemon RSE would have a shot though, especially if the release
day/pic factor for GS was large. If DPP > RSE, that gives potential
room for even Metroid Fusion to sneak in. Who knows about Minish Cap,
but underestimating ZELDA is generally unwise. Funny thing is, if FFTA was at 2004 levels of strength it would probably be the strongest GBA game (GS didn't outdo FFTA's performance on FFX by much, so if there was any SFF at all in 2004...), but going from a 6 Seed to not even showing up despite the field doubling and the games outside this decade getting shut-out plus vote-ins existing now...is pretty horrible. Thoughts on this Poll: Dear god, lol ZotE. Can't even beat freaking Shenmue or Killer Instinct...I thought Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner was supposed to be one of the best games ever, but I guess I was horribly wrong. One thing to notice is that Dark Cloud is owning Shenmue pretty easily. The vote-ins had Dark Cloud II narrowly losing to Beyond Good and Evil, and Shenmue finished 7 spots ahead of Beyond Good and Evil in the GotD x-stats. Hmmm...let's look at that vote-in, shall we? http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=4047 I was looking for choices that could've leeched Dark Cloud II out of victory over Beyond Good and Evil, but it looks like BG&E actually defeated DC2 pretty easily, and there were no other JRPGs in the poll. This is yet another result pointing towards BG&E > Shenmue (adding onto how someone said during the contest that BG&E did better against Rome: Total War in this poll than Shenmue the series did against Total War the series in the Sega poll), which implies that Twilight Princess > Mario Galaxy was an SFF match. Or we could just leave it at "lol PotDs" and move on, I guess. Also this poll once again shows how weak PC strategy games are getting on GameFAQs, so much so that I'm worried about StarCraft's strength. Would StarCraft even win a rematch with Halo now? It
looked like Final Fantasy IX would have beaten Starcraft by a decent
margin in 2009 had Final Fantasy VIII not also been in that poll to do
the humiliation instead. And if anything I would assume Starcraft
overperforms in 4-ways and that Zelda and Final Fantasy overlap more
with each other than with Starcraft. Only reason I might not pick every

StarCraft
II wasn't all that hyped on this site, and if anything I would expect
StarCraft to become weaker now that there's a sequel. StarCraft IS likely a good few notches below Diablo II now though (RTS from '98 vs. WRPG from '00, lol). Heck StarCraft may even attract anti-votes now. Halo/StarCraft in the day would likely just be Halo/Uncharted 2 all over again (StarCraft has a terrible ASV, no?). Heck, it's questionable as to whether or not StarCraft was even the stronger game in the first place, seeing how it cheated its way to victory in '04. But man, I can't even think of what all StarCraft likely loses to now. Batman, Golden Sun, Mass Effect, Mario Galaxy, BioShock, Knights of the Old Republic...THE THOUSAND YEAR DOOR??? Pokemon
White is winning over Pokemon Black in this poll, but Pokemon Black is
the far more active board between the 2 games. Pokemon Black also has
more user ratings than Pokemon White. but how well do you think Red Bird (of Angry Birds fame) would do?
Considering Angry Birds is the face of the App Store, he would have to
have at least some strength. Yeah, GameFAQs hates casual games and all
that, but that bird is probably more recognizable than 3/4 of the
