To figure out a character's Xsts Percentage ---> [(CvB)(BvA)]/50 = CvA

~*Say What? Common Stats Topic Lingo Defined*~

SFF (Same Fanbase Factor) - Same Fanbase Factor is the theory that, if two contestants share a common fanbase, the weaker of the two options will underperform in a direct matchup. For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote. This is the best example of SFF we've ever seen. However take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make perfect sense.

Extrapolated Standings - The mathematical "strength" of a contestant that's determined based on their performance relative to the rest of the field. This number is typically based on the contest entrant's loss, but adjustments are sometimes made. See above for a watered down explanation for how the stats are calculated.

My perception of FFX has been a game that would get somewhere in the 31-32% area on OOT. The crusade against FFX is over though, now that it's lost to MM. Don't think people will ascribe strength it doesn't have to it anymore (i.e. I hope no one still thinks it could keep things close against LTTP!)

Your perception of FFX's strength is almost certainly underrating it significantly.

And it would for sure keep it close against LttP. It wouldn't win but it wouldn't get less than 47%. LttP isn't quite what it used to be remember.

That's if Bacon will even allow it. Because unlike with Character Battles, he doesn't allow joke games into the contest and the CD-i Zelda games could be seen as joke games.

The game got 34.5% against OOT with Brawl in there and 37% with RBY and Melee. Don't see any reason to believe it could avoid the doubling 1v1, and now it's lost to Majora too to confirm that.

No way is LTTP only worth 53% on MM. Would expect 55%-58% from LTTP against FFX nowadays.

No, that's really the answer to your question. Brawl mainly won that match because of Europe/Asia, as I think Melee still lead in NA. That just stuck in people's minds.

Trends-wise, TP/Brawl is completely worthless since it was a day match. The best analog I can think of is OOT/Brawl, but the thing is MM has a bandwagoned/rallied/close match runoff early vote here, so it's really very different at this point.
