SFF (Same Fanbase Factor) - Same Fanbase Factor is the theory that, if two contestants share a common fanbase, the weaker of the two options will underperform in a direct matchup. For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote. This is the best example of SFF we've ever seen. However take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make perfect sense.

Extrapolated Standings - The mathematical "strength" of a contestant that's determined based on their performance relative to the rest of the field. This number is typically based on the contest entrant's loss, but adjustments are sometimes made. See above for a watered down explanation for how the stats are calculated.

Also, let's say SSBB beats tonight's winner with 52%: if that happens it will suggest KH2 = RE4, which is even more interesting. It creates more evidence that RE4 nor KH2 were never that close to Zelda:TP.

Also, note that MGS3 is expected to get 55% on Oblivion this year, while it was expected 54% on Oblivion from that same poll. Basically, MGS3 probably hasn't dropped. SotC just acted really crazy.

The Mario spike was probably rallying, since none of the conventional vote-stuffing methods work anymore. Only a computer lab could really do it now, and I don't think Allen considers it "vote-stuffing".

You entered this match focused, yet afraid because it was a Zelda game, the match began and you were on your game, but suddenly, you saw how all that advantage that you had was being slowly taken away from you, you fought back but it was useless, you had chances to make a come back, but you could not do it. In the end, you just faded away like this song.

And I didn't "abuse double post" I just simply posted twice in a row. I don't even think you can double post anymore!

That's actually why I said "stuffing" before. I actually have access to a ton of comps, each of them with their own net access (so they'd all count as accepted votes). Probably something like 20-30 votes...but I'm not going for it unless MM absolutely needs it. No need to be rash!

And on another note, continuing from the previous topic: The Water Temple sucks not because of the boots Yo (as that's never bothered me), but because you have almost ZERO control underwater. It's so clunky and boring that even the Dark Link fight doesn't fully make up for it...and besides, it has the only spot you can make the game unwinnable in. Big mistake in designing there.

I'd be surprised since any rallying would be for Majora.

The track record of Square rallying compared to Nintendo is horrific. Majora has all the momentum.
