Majora's Mask is slowing down. FFX did not gain percentage on Ocarina of Time in BGE 2009 in the late afternoon/early evening hours, but FF7 did do that against Ocarina of Time.... perhaps this match will be closer to FF7/OoT trends?

Imagine if Brawl got that 54% on Fallout the previous round only to still beat Brawl with 51% THIS round. THEN add in today's match. That might make record-breaking commotion. =P

For a region to go up by 0.26% in a single update at this time in the day, and assuming the side that didn't gain has a normal number of votes in the update, the side that gained would have to get about 80% of the vote.

Perhaps the regional percentages don't update every 5 minutes? If we know how often those percentages update and come up with estimates regarding the distribution of votes over the day in a given region, we can identify vote spikes that are statistically significant in the region.

Fairly certain they don't. I'm not sure how often they update but it's probably every 15.

I think votals are slowing down relative to how far ahead they were of F3/Brawl a few hours ago. Perhaps the Majora rallies really did cause this and have slowed. If that's the case, there's an excellent chance they can kick back up again if the game is in danger of losing.

Final Fantasy fans... I'm not sure if they'd do the same.
