My only worry about FFX is that... well, it's FF. It's a Final Fantasy that just beat Zelda to reach the finals. Remember when Cloud did that in 2003? Seph looked much better against him in that final match than he ever has since. If the Nintendo fanbase backs Brawl because of that I might pop a blood vessel.

I am, if anything, more confident in Brawl now than ever.

If TP couldn't do it, MM won't be able to. TP's looked consistently better than FFX and even outdid it on RE4 directly. It would take some crazy anti-voting/bandwagoning for MM to trump TP let alone Brawl. I think it's safe to assume that TP and MM are equal and if TP couldn't beat Brawl, I wouldn't trust MM to.

The winner's getting 53-47'd and I'd be surprised if it didn't turn out that way.

'Course, I really don't want MM to win. I love the game, but it's made on an engine from the 90's and is more the swansong of that decade than the start of the one in question. Plus it would be fitting if the final were between the two big killer apps of the two highest selling systems of the decade.

I'd say its more like Sonic/Mega Man, as the lead was never really that huge. Plus I think Crono was leading with the power hour in his match.

I would imagine its more likely the Nintendo fanbase would back Brawl because its the only Nintendo game in the poll rather than as a counter-reaction to a counter-reaction of FFX beating Zelda and Melee losing. >__>

Nah, I just consider Sonic/Crono the bar by which all great matches are measured. You're probably right in terms of comparing exact trends and patterns

Sonic/MM was better as the better character won in that match! Also, it was a far better W2W match and it ended closer I believe.

Link looked up to the hill, where 8 enemies stood. He recognized the dangerous looking samurai as Auron, and the boy with the ridiculously shaped sword as Tidus, but Link could feel the powerful magical energy within even the frail girl Yuna.

Link looked at himself. He must have been.....sent through time, sent back into his body of 7 years past. He tried to pull the Master Sword from its scabbard, but drew only the short Kokiri Sword. Sword......now that Link looked at it after wielding greater blades, it was really more of a dagger than a sword. Link tried to remember what had happened, but he had no idea how he had been sent here, to this place and time. All he could remember was blackness, and a forgotten face with a bandanna. And an animal....a snake? But what did that mean?

The girl twirled her staff and a gigantic dragon flew down from the skies. The dragon opened its mouth and fired a huge beam of multi-colored fire with the diameter of a football field directly at Link. Link knew immediately that the Deku Shield would be of no use. Even the Hylian Shield would probably melt upon contact with that jet of fire. The Master Sword could stop it with enough energy directed into it, but Link didn't have the Master Sword with him, or anything he had acquired as an adult!

....Except, there was one other thing he had. It was not an item he had gotten as a child, and he was sure he hadn't gotten it in his quest to save Hyrule as an adult either. Link had no idea what it did or when it had come into his possession, but with no time left before impact, he pulled out the white sphere and hoped for the best.

It is. I rarely vote for OoT, unless it's up against a steaming pile like Tales, but I voted for Majora in every match this contest (then again, it's gone up against 5 of the worst games in the bracket (Pokemon, CC, FFX, WW and MGS3)

Can't wait for the exciting conclusion, sox.

Majora's Mask has now cut half of the peak lead.

I never really got all the hype with OoT. I bought it on release day, beat it once, and never played it again. I always thought it would be so beast if they allowed the dungeon bosses to come back to life after you beat the dungeon. Like have an option when you enter said beated dungeon of having enemies/boss re-set.

I actually have a friend with a working copy and my N64 is still going strong. Gotta do this next week!
