I think it will be a little closer red sox, as FFX's day vote compared to MM should be a bit stronger than FFVII's compared to OOT. But it will be close.
Oh, and as I woke up I think I had a great idea for the next contest, what do you guys think? We can have another tournament of champions as we have 7 past champions (Clinkeroth, Mario, Snake, Samus, and L-Block). Then we can actually have a bracket with more than two leigitmate options to win. Sonic, Mega Man, Crono, Squall, Auron, and Vincent (and heck, maybe Missingno.) would all have a chance to win that thing. The only downside is that it's probably Link, Mario, Cloud, and the like that draw in the most interest. And that L-Block will get slaughtered in te ToC without a bandwagon. But I think it would be fun, especially since Mario, Snake, Samus, Cloud, and Sephiroth are a lot closer in strength to each other than they used to be.

MM needs 8.83 votes an update to win.

Smidgen less than half. According to yesterday's match, we had 41.7k/85.4k, or just under 49%.

8 AM was was supposed to be the percentage peak, not the vote lead peak. I am very disappointed Majora wasted the whole morning, but as far as the whole targets thing goes, it's still doing okay. Really needs to win this hour though.

Yeah, calling FFX the huge favorite now. We're past 8 am pacific; it's the day vote, and Majora still can't manage to take a voting bloc convincingly. The Asians have probably stopped voting as well, so it needs to be doing a heck of a lot better than it is.

Round 4 OOT/FFX: Majora's Mask with 50.86%
Round 5 OOT/FFX: Majora's Mask with 50.51%

Projections have moved towards FFX in the last hour and a half, but continue to favor MM. Guessing they'll continue to move towards FFX as the day progresses though.

While that was on a weekend, the trends should be similar to a continent poll that might be run on a day with a highly diluted ASV. Asia peaked during the 5:00-6:00 AM hour and slowly drops off over the next several hours. Asia drops off at a much slower rate than Oceania thanks to Asia covering way more timezones than Oceania. After 1:00 PM, Asia is close to being at rock bottom.

Brawl still had a little bit of an ASV yesterday (did 1% better with the "ASV" than the "DSV" IIRC) so that would help Majora compared to the Sunday trends of the round 5 match. The round 5 match is definitely a better analog than the round 4 match, which was a weekday, by the way.

I tracked all 24 hours of poll updates for a continent poll that was ran earlier this year. If you want to check out the poll updates, go to that link I posted earlier and look for the tab that says "Updates" to check the poll updates. I used the poll updates to make trend charts for that poll.

Evidently people are getting up later and later, and the day vote now starts at 11 AM instead of 8 AM. With the decline of the ASV as the site trends older, in a few years we might reach day vote parity between weekday and weekend matches!
