MM's
run makes me wish RBY could've gotten in somehow. Remember that it beat
MM + 2 other games with over 50% in their fairest match. It could've

TP, a game that also bears the Zelda name, managed to lose to Brawl. Yeah, TP losing to possibly the strongest entrant in the contest sure proves me wrong. And does nothing to the point about OoT fans being more likely to vote Majora's Mask over anything else. Or the fact that it's Majora's Mask. Popular title that has never been considered a GoaT contender. FFX
is still the favorite. People would be sweating bullets if it only won
with 52% today, and understandably so, but it had an awesome
performance. Still, unless FFX clobbers Brawl in the finals, I think

fact that MM is not performing that much better compare to FFX/RE4 and
the fact that this is the day match should make it clear that FFX will

Not
sure why people are so high on Majora, it had 2 of the weakest
divisions aside from the top 2, and is probably around Wind Waker

We
have two poll results so far that indicate that RE4 and MGS3 are very
close in strength (their match last year and the 'who do you think
wins' poll). If they are, FFX/MM could be a barnburner. --- DFF. |

You
know, RE4/MGS3 from last year predicts FFX?MM to be a really close
match. MM's doing a percent better here, but it also has more of a
day/night advantage, and RE4 very narrowly won that match. I know
people are very down on MGS, but has MGS3 really looked that bad this
year? I think it's mostly been MGS4 flopping. --- Nominate Crono so he can get a higher seed and avoid being fed to Clinkeroth early in the contest. |

take Paper Mario too, which makes MM look good. Looking at the numbers,
roughly I think PM needs 51-52% on GS for MM = FFX, accounting for FFX
having a night advantage once and MM having a time advantage twice

yes. CC and WW, definitely not. WW was the only Zelda showing early

I'm
amazingly biased but I'd call Golden Sun and Shadow of the Colossus
stars of the contest. MM is definitely the star 1 seed though. I'd
like to see another LoZ-poll one day, but even better than that would
be a LoZ-this-decade poll. I wanna see LoZ:TP and LoZ:MM face off, see
how LoZWW fares through-out their battle, and get a glimpse of how
well/terribad the other titles could do. I'll still take LoZ:TP in this
battle, but LoZ:MM is legit through and through now. It still impresses
me a game from 2000 got a one-seed, considering how easy it was to
forget a N64-game from 2000 came out this decade when making the
nominations. Good show by LoZ:MM today, too. I expected a little more, but MGS3's still narrowing abiding by my "closer to 40% than 45%" prediction, so whatever. It nearly single-handedly defeated the MGS-series when most of us wouldn't take it over MGS2 originally, and it may have been able to do it too if SotC faced MGS3 in a day-match. LoZ:MM's been pulling some stunners, but at least people still had some faith in it and you could fiddle with the stats to help justify why it's happening thus far. If
SotC managed to beat 3 it would be a lock. We'll wait and see how
Majora does on FFX, but if it gets over 48%, it will hands down be the

Do not underestimate the effect OoT not being in this contest could have. I can't believe we might well see Majora's Mask (seriously, Majora's Mask, the runt little brother of a true GoaT contender) winning this contest and people still deny the whole drones thing. There are a relatively large portion of "mindless" Zelda fans who see the Zelda name and vote for it. Majora's Mask leads FFX the first half hour, it has a fair chance of
winning. It's a 24-hour match, so it'll get its full day vote, and FFX,
