So then what the hell happened last year? I know Paper Mario was there but seeing as how Paper Mario is showing incredible strength this year I have to think that KH1 was laying down an SFF beating there. So then how did Prime lose last year? Vice City might be lucky to break 45% on Prime this year, heck.

Everything just seems shady as to what went on with Prime last year. It doesn't make sense for it to have SFFd Paper Mario, but if Prime and Paper Mario really stay constant to each other...checking Board 8 Wiki...

Prime got 61.53% on Paper Mario last year.
MGS3 got 57.49% on Paper Mario this year.

So...good lord, Prime with 54% on MGS3? Not really buying it...although with the MGS series being a wholesale disappointment this year I guess it isn't TOTALLY impossible.

GTA is either anti-voted or just has a really dedicated fanbase which made it better in 4-ways.

And Metroid/Samus have a pretty clear history of failing to SFF and possibly even getting RSFFed against Mario/Zelda/Pokemon.

Also, why has the Wii been looking so terrible in polls for the most part? Brawl and Twilight Princess are a huge step above everything else from this generation, and then nothing else from the generation would likely break 55% on Mario Galaxy even. It's quite possible that Galaxy is now even the #3 7th gen game on this site now, if you want to believe that the MGS drop has been quite meteoric and that Galaxy would slightly edge out Prime. So...what happened to Galaxy last year?

Perhaps everything under the Nintendo banner (apart from the strongest entrants) just can't deal with 4way SFF. I'm not gonna fish for many examples, but we saw it with Luigi/Bowser, Galaxy/DPP, and Prime/PM. I'm actually surprised Ganon and Luigi both beat Yuna in 2007 - have been for a while.

People don't like the way Nintendo's marketing to "casual gamers" and some of the games developed to cater to said casuals has been going, so they anti-vote the Wii, but that doesn't mean they've abandoned the core Nintendo franchises. The Wii doesn't have many mainstream FPS/RPG/sandbox-type games, but it's pretty good at what it does have IMO.

I don't think MP will have the lead in NA by the end of the match. That NA %age should be inflated by Metroid's terrific Power Hour, which is among the best Power Hours.

Prime wins the Power Hour! Even if it loses, this is a fine performance. It has redeemed itself for 2009 and is one of several Nintendo games to do so.

I think Nintendo is simply better in 1v1.

If Prime holds on somehow, all three of Nintendo's most recent consoles will be represented in the Final 4. Actually, they will technically be represented with Majora's Mask alone (it's included in a GameCube Zelda collection and on the Wii's Virtual Console), but a win here would make them REALLY REALLY represented.

Heck, a Prime win here followed by TP and RE4 upsets (asking for a lot, I know), will mean that all four Final 4 entrants can be played on the GameCube.

In reality however, the game cube has the second worst catalogue of games of the last big seven consoles. Poor dreamcast.

I'd take the Cube over the original Xbox pretty easily. I'd take it over the Wii as well, at least right now.
