~*Say What? Common Stats Topic Lingo Defined*~

SFF (Same Fanbase Factor) - Same Fanbase Factor is the theory that, if two contestants share a common fanbase, the weaker of the two options will underperform in a direct matchup. For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote. This is the best example of SFF we've ever seen. However take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make perfect sense.

Extrapolated Standings - The mathematical "strength" of a contestant that's determined based on their performance relative to the rest of the field. This number is typically based on the contest entrant's loss, but adjustments are sometimes made. See above for a watered down explanation for how the stats are calculated.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

I think OOT might have an outside shot at the tripling in 1v1 though. For one thing, FFX and MGS4 voters should favor OOT, and the big thing is that no one will be voting for Brawl because they think OOT is safe and doesn't need their vote.

Probably not by much over what OOT was already getting, but any bit helps. The main thing is the change in format......I dunno, I just have a feeling OOT could do a lot more SFF damage to Brawl in 1v1. If not, 70-30 is still pretty impressive, even if it's way better than Brawl deserves.

MGS sides with Brawl, FF I'm not sure. Also OoT has like no chance of doubling Brawl, and no way it's gonna triple.

Yeah OoT would probably SSF Brawl, but it's still no doubling. OoT would end somewhere between 65 and 60% I think.

OOT put up 70% on Brawl and 74% on Melee last contest (though the Melee match was a Triple SFF situation with Pokemon RBY, so Melee was put in a really bad position). Brawl would have to not get SFF'd, like, at all, for it to stay above 35%.

You can never really tell with 4 ways for sure. Metroid Prime even lost to Vice City because Paper Mario was in the poll and we all know Metroid would kill Vice City in 1v1.

That poll and CT's finals match with FFVII were probably major overperformances along the lines of Sephiroth/Bowser and Sephiroth/Ganon induced by FFVII being the obvious winner and people trying to take it down, though Melee's probably around that area on FFVII nowadays.

But regardless, OOT demolishes anything from Nintendo with SFF, so what a Nintendo game gets against FFVII isn't going to be representative of what it can get against OOT at all.

Possibly, but I'm doubting too much SSF in a OoT vs Brawl match. Since Brawl does have characters from many different games. Looking more into it I think a doubling is debatable, but I'm still sure that OoT wouldn't break 70%.

Omitted scores got it wrong.

Another easy match. Didn't get as much support as FF10 but it was still really good. The top tiers don't do too badly but they fall below 90 fairly quickly. Prediction percentage does stay around the high 80s for a while before fading away.

4 people fell out of the Top 50. Finger_Licken, Iamdead7, tempestjg and Skidlz did not have RE4 winning the match.
